As far as I can tell he also has the highest on/off net rating for the whole season if you take out the Edey minutes. Only thing left for him to do is play awesome with Edey and he'll be as core a peice as anyone else on the Grizzlies – especially when he starts getting to use his offensive bag.

  1. I mean, love GG but those stats can be seriously misleading – especially based on a smaller sample size. Like, how much of that time was trash minutes with skewed scoring? Iisalo tends to rotate people in groups, where does GG fit in that? Etc etc.

Edited to add: I’m clarifying here, because apparently I didn’t get my point across with the first paragraph – so.

Those stats can be misleading. Period. End.
I’m not saying GG isn’t good. I’m not saying that they aren’t a part of an overall evaluation. Nothing I wrote even implied that.

I despise the +/- as a stand alone stat, *especially* with a small sample size, because there are too many factors affecting it that don’t show in the numbers.

Please stop arguing with me about things I didn’t say, or by writing more words to say the things I did. I don’t know what point you guys are trying to make, but it’s getting annoying to have my notifications this instead of something interesting.

  2. ngl I was in favor of moving him in a trade package but since returning from g league he’s been playing good basketball.

he’s shown glimpses of why Memphis believes in him. he is playing confidently and making smart plays. i want to believe his growing pains come from not enough minutes, new coaching staff, heck im sure the ja stuff over the years hasn’t helped considering the SC family ties.

i hope he continues to see the court. he is better than the credit he receives and can become a crucial part of rotation

  3. Is anyone else curious enough to consider stating him alongside Ced and bringing Wells off the bench? I love Wells, but he has not had a great season (he has several good excuses)

  4. GG’s doing fine.
He’s been playing the right way more often than not.

That’s it for my visual test.

    l’m a simple man.
