I think the most interesting thing is the actual lack of consistency in this. Beyond Jokic and Derozan showing up constantly it’s generally mixed. It seems to correlate more with skill and reliance than it does an actual clutch factor.
Except Dame, of course, who is obviously just him.
IMO, and as someone who watches a ton of Wolves I feel like I can say this confidently, Ant was terrible in the clutch last season. The fact that he led the league in clutch points is proof that this stat means very little.
Going to be fun in the last five minutes of close games with both Dame and Deni out there.
I would start campaigning for Deni Avdija clutch player of the year award if I didn’t think it was a stupid award.
