  1. March 6th Friday EPSN national broadcast game at home is the game for Tatum to return. Finals rematch vibe against Cooper Flagg. My prediction.

  2. Tonight we saw JB's whole career in microcosm–the good, the bad, and the fugly. But before the game he learns the Cade Cunningham had been voted best player by his peers. And, for just the second time this year, just before a nationally televised game, he requests getting the toughest defensive assignment, namely Cade, which he receives. This guy really knows how to promote himself. Meanwhile, he has a partner in mass-marketing on the broadcast team, Scal, who during the mini-scrape with Beef Stew, described JB as a starter on the all-star team and "probably the defensive player of the year."

What!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Don't you have to be a primary defender, which JB has only been twice in 40-odd games, and only after not receiving an honor he thought due him, to be DPOY? JB has seen his defensive responsibilities drastically reduced this year, it's an insult to the game of basketball even to suggest that JB should be DPOY. Even when he did play defense, he was nowhere near the best defender in the league–not close. Later in the broadcast Scal stated that Jb had been guarding the other team's best player "every night," which he knows is untrue.

Scal also said that DW was the "de facto point guard" on the Celts. It's his job to lie, but tonight he set standard for deceiving audiences.

The entire Jaylen Brown bag was on display tonight. He played pretty good defense against an injured Cade Cunningham, although the Cs doubled Cunningham inside the 3-pt line. Jb scored lots of points and had an overall good game against a tough team that defended him well. He earned everything he got tonight, and kept his team in a game in which nobody else was winning their match-up with Detroit's defenders. He did yeoman work in that regard.

On the other hand, if he played better in the clutch we probably win that game. He had four turnovers–not too bad for him–but the last two really hurt us. And, of course, if he didn't cough up his free throws we might very well have won. In the last few minutes he went to the lie twice. The first time you could see his nervousness but he managed to bounce both shots in. Next time he missed both, which he has done in clutch moments many times in his career.

Tonight we saw the whole Jaylen Brown, his strengths and his weaknesses.

We also saw Anfernee Simon's career in microcosm, or at least just the bad. He was a no-show in yet another big game. The story of his career. Not to mention a couple of costly turnovers. He was hunted on defense and exploited. He wasn't on the floor at the end of the game because he was such a defensive liability. Yes, he's improved on defense, but as Brad Stevens rightly pointed out, he's not there yet.

How good is Cade Cunningham! He couldn't get up off the floor in q1 and was obviously bothered by his injury to the point that he was passing up open shots. Yet he still managed to score 16 pts with fourteen assists AND NO TURNOVERS, with two steals and two blocks. This despite he got doubled and tripled whenever he got within 20 feet of the basket. That guy belongs in a higher league.

  3. It’s infuriating how often JB falls asleep off the ball, gave up an open 3 to Robinson and then lost Cade which let to an open 3 for Harris. You can’t be the best 2 way player in the league and leave guys open in the clutch

  4. These free throws are starting to annoy me ALOT. We have lost 5-6 games atleast this year because the entire team chokes free throws. Missing the technical ones annoy me the most. Entire team needs to spend 30 minutes at the start and end of practice at the line
