This all but confirms it was Beane who got McDermott fired. Beane is already pushing out the narrative we had lots of weapons and McDermott questioning the talent rubbed people the wrong way, so they wanted a new leader.

Holy shit we’re in the darkest timeline
I feel like what this confirms is that Bean needs to go. Thinking we have lots of weapons ha.
This team is not that talented on defense.
Stacked with talent? Where?? Bad reporting.
Each time I think I’m mad enough at Beane, it turns out I’m not mad enough
“So much talent on defense” brother, there wasn’t that much talent anywhere..
Lots of weapons???? We don’t have a WR1 and our defence was passable at best for most of the year?!?!? We didn’t win because of our stellar D. We won because of Josh. If Josh has an off day.. we don’t win. We just saw that. That’s not a sign of overflowing with weapons.
So Sean said “these guys aren’t good enough” and Terry clutched his pearls and sent him away? Sigh.
Who assembled the team?
Just pull up the roster – so many holes and voids of talent. Beane is so awesome.
Well this confirms it. With this level of delusion Im never seeing the buffalo bills win in my lifetime. Its over. Literally falling on my knees reading this.

All of those weapons. A bunch of WR3s, Kincaid, Knox and Cook. McDermott asking legit questions and Beane or Terry Pegula got upset.
Any GM can figure out they had to pay Josh Allen and Cook to retain them. What else has Beane done?
No one thought we were stacked with talent.
So where’s all this imaginary uncoached talent? Not in the pro-bowl or racking up All-Pros….
This stinks of Beane’s agent telling him “everyone’s basically saying it” when he’s the only one saying it.
Ooh I see the confusion. You thought we said “new leader” when we actually said “wide reciever” what a classic mix up. I guess we can rehire McDermott. Sorry about that.
2 waiver receivers in divisional round after losing a refurbished Gabe Davis. Stacked!
Fuck Brandon Beane
Man this is such a typical rappaport hack job
Fuck Brandon Beane.
Beane is revealing that he is untrustworthy.
Remember how Beane DIDN’T trade for Waddle, but he sure made everyone know he really tried? Almost like he didn’t want to make the team too good to make sure McD got fired, but also let everyone know he could have totally pulled it off if those darn Dolphins hadn’t asked for too much.
I am stoned rn just as a precursor – Beane really sabotaged this roster to get McDermott fired so he could install a yes-man, didn’t he?
Beane is a fucking snake. The least they could’ve for McDermott was give him a respectable send-off. I don’t think anyone would’ve been too surprised if both of them were gone but this was clearly a coup that Beane has been focusing on for weeks instead of improving the roster.
Really makes me wonder if we’ll get any of the top candidates knowing they’re walking into this roster with this GM. Pegula is an idiot too.
Stabbed him in the back, remember Sean brought Beane here. Sean was hired first.
All that talent like Josh Palmer, Keon, and Tyrel Shavers?
How about having to rely Poyer all year? Savage in the Den game?
Cool. I’ll assume they’ll all be playing like Pro Bowlers next year then or Beane can go too.
So because Beane didn’t do his job he just redirected blame. Is he going to snap on the radio again when his job is questioned again? If he doesn’t get Josh help, Josh will get fed up and leave.
They want a yes man. McDermott went against the talking points of a championship roster.
My views of Beane have changed significantly today.
Terrys an absolute fucking idiot. If Mcd goes then so should Beane.
Soooooo …..
Pegula sure as hell isn’t going to get rid of Bean – Look how long it took him to fire Adams.
I want every reporter to call him out. Please
Holy fuck does this feel like a gigantic mistake
We must boo beane opening night.
To quote Colin Cowherd –
“Brandon Beane brought back 20 of 22 starters. He thinks this group’s good… they’re not.”

“All that talent”
Beane won the power struggle. About the worst thing he could do now is trash McDermott.
Brandon: take your W, find us a good coach, fix the roster and the cap, and keep your mouth shut.
[Joe Marino’s](https://x.com/TheJoeMarino/status/2013431247884726595?s=20) thoughts on this. Think he perfectly encapsulates how most of us feel about this. Beane is a snake.
Has any organization seen kickback like we are seeing for Beane and the outcome ended up changing?
I was one that wanted beane and Brady gone yesterday and McDermott couldve followed. But him being the scapegoat and only firing just makes no logical sense.
Its obvious the players and fanbase are really upset about it. I doubt it but has anything similar ever resulted in another firing or something similar? I dont see a world where player influence brings McDermott back and gets Beane fired but I was just wondering if anything close has come into play
