With DP at center, it's felt like we've moved the ball well….gotten out in transition quicker, got fully set on defense better…and been able to move the ball around better to find open man.

Take these stats for what they are….but for me, while AD was on the court, the offense felt forced to go through him vs. free flowing…

On defense, I don't have a reason for why we've been better, will leave that to someone smarter.

In case you are wondering, there were only 105 possessions with either Dlive or Gaff at the Center and AD at the 4. (I did not include those stats)

  1. Not a surprise. DP is a legend. He’s without a doubt a better passer and screen setter than AD. If he could shoot threes he’d probably be a mainstay in our rotation honestly.

  2. This is the best Dwight has looked since his Achilles tear. Stats match the eye test. Really solid and impressive testament to his work ethic.

  3. good screen is always best ballhandler dream and GOATwell provides it on consistent basis

and yeah, that’s why trading AD is best scenario and it’s not purely about money, eye test also telling. game is play in 2026, not 2010 anymore

  4. well I think when davis is in the game the offense slows down a lot trying to feed him the ball in the post vs right now the ball movement and player movement is creating easy buckets and when it is one on one offense they attack quick. if davis could accept being the 2nd option and just focus on being all-nba defense he would have a much better impact.

  5. First of all they were the DP trade, the THJ trade and the Max Christie trade. 2nd DP always play the hardest and always does the right thing on court its just that his size and individual skills limit him from actually cracking the rotation.

  6. The abuse that DP takes in the paint, hits to the face, groin, etc would send Anthony Davis straight to the hospital.

  7. The ball don’t stop with DP and players around him know he is looking to pass first so guys are ready to shoot or make cuts.
