The crazy thing is, that the game hasn’t even slowed down for him yet. Bro is just playing off of raw talent right now.
As a Texas fan I can tell yall two things:
1. His defense has improved DRASTICALLY. He used to chop his feet and guess where the ball handler was going, now he slides his feet while occasionally doing a good job of staying in front.
2. His endurance has gotten a lot better as well. I want Tre to have a Steph like impact on the game. Constantly moving w/o the ball, can run the offense but the team benefits more when he’s off ball due to his gravity as a shooter
Tre is low-key having a very strong rookie season. His game has all the fundamentals and honestly he looks comfortable in a starting role.
I know there’s a lot of rhetoric about a bright future; but when our raw prospects like Ky/Bub/Will step it up and our natural talents like Sarr and Tre are promising, it feels like we are definitely through the toughest part of the rebuild.
I can’t wait until we see Trae young running the ball.
