What I’m hearing about the Washington Wizards ahead of the NBA trade deadline

TLDR
They are still open to bringing in players on long term bad money (grant or quickly). However unlikely those teams are willingly to trade those dudes for nothing aka Middleton.
Middleton therefore is likely staying past the deadline and may be a buyout candidate.
Last thing, apparently it seems they are still open to making a trade for distressed assets if the price is right (like Trae). The only guy Josh mentioned, was Zion.
Any non-paywalled version? Thanks for sharing !
That they’re going to raise ticket prices again mid-season because its such a great fan experience?
Kuminga is the guy I’m really keeping my ears alert for. Highly unlikely now that Butler is done for the season with a torn ACL, but that’d be a good get.
🫡Yup, Zion could come change his life in DC. Uncle John Wall could definitely straighten Zion out. Or they could have this year’s 1RP for Queen straight up 👍
if Yves Missi can be had I hope we are doing exploratory phone calls with NOLA
Quickley feels so unlikely just given that he’s a potential contract that can be incorporated in a package for the Raptors to make a big swing elsewhere. The distressed assets narrative that we’ve consistently seen the past just doesn’t feel applicable this time around with so many teams being able to match bad contract with bad contracts.
Kind of interesting Robbins doesn’t mention any destinations for Bagley when that feels like the easiest flip imaginable to get an asset back and teams consistently require that center depth when they’re makin the second half push.
I wish they’d work in some 3-4 team trade rumors they’ve heard. 2 teams just doesn’t present much for most trades rn.
A Zion trade would be horrible. I hope we’re not stupid enough to do that.
