  1. Someone do the thing to show me if I should feel good or bad about this. Im leaning towards good though.

  2. For some reason I read koivunen

I’m going to majorly overreact to this though!

We did it! Stanley cup incoming!

    Also

Wow we suck and the sky is falling!

  3. Okay, I don’t know enough about this player. Should I be:

    A. Excited
    B. Meh
    C. Angry
    D. Confused

    Thanks!

  4. Pitt / dubas goes “let’s fuck WBS some more”

Pitt never will win a cup with the AARP crew and WBS will never win a Calder in this organization. I never thought I’d ever say this but man I hope WBS separates to a functional org

  5. So why are we giving picks away for shuffling deck chairs? And wasnt there a huge crowd at D to begin with? A little more nuance please, or I will have 16 anxious hours before this shows up on The Athletic.

  6. That Solovyov has been able to get in the Colorado lineup which is having a historically good season means in a bubble team like the Pens are, should prove to be a useful piece.

Getting that in exchange for a AAAA player and a lottery could prove to be quite the bargain.

  7. Is this the trade to replace the zamula move or is it more about freeing up vet spots in wbs.

  8. I suppose its a good idea, we have a ton of defense available for either a playoff run or trade capital for a team looking to make a playoff run.

  9. This feels like a setup for another move but I can’t really wrap my head around what the end goal is. As for Puustinen, I think he has pretty much shown his ceiling as a fringe AHL forward.

On the other hand, I don’t think we acquired Solovyov to play in the NHL. So there’s either another move that’s going to take place before the Olympic break OR they don’t expect Jones to be returning this season.

  10. There’s a pretty clear defenseman shortage at all pro levels, never had an issue with stockpiling as many as possible.

Plenty of fringe forwards like puusty out there

  11. Have to think at least one defenseman is on the move at this point. I know EK is still out for the foreseeable future but that’s a whole lot of guys for just a few positions

  12. One of the all-time leading scorers for WBS. Guys don’t stick around like he did, and he was fun to watch for years. He’ll be missed down here.

  13. Saw it coming. Puusty’s played well as of late, but he definitely a “needs a change of scenery” player.

He was easily the top prospect back when WBS was stocked with nothing but bottom six plugs…he just kind of been passed by.
