The 2026 Chicago Bears offseason is projected to focus on bolstering a defense that showed flashes but needs more consistency, potentially targeting veteran defensive linemen like Jeffery Simmons via trade and drafting defensive talent like edge rushers and safeties, while also looking at receiver upgrades to develop with Caleb Williams alongside existing young stars. Key decisions involve Kevin Byard, Jaquan Brisker, and DJ Moore, with potential cap moves to free up space for new additions, aiming to build a championship contender around Williams and the core offense.

This video provides a complete overview of the potential 2026 offseason for the Chicago Bears including Free Agency, Draft, Cuts, etc ➡️ What moves do you want to see the Chicago Bears make this offseason?

  1. Weren't you the same dum8 @$$ mofo talking about we should keep Justin Fields and not take Caleb!!?? You're a joke and have no idea what you're talking about, dj more lazy ass in the biggest moment of his life is as good as gone…

  2. I really like Kieq, but most of this is fantasy land.

We have REAL cap concerns; It's not this fungible number that really doesn't exist. It does.

Including the current draft picks and slots, we are now $11 million OVER the cap. We have at least 3 dudes that we should resign in Byard (fresh off a first team All Pro), Brisker (fresh off his best game ever) and Jackson, who was the only quality LB we had on the field. Not even getting to Nahshon Wright, Duvernay, and both nose tackles. We have like 24ish free agents. And 8 of them are in the secondary.

Also understand, that by restructuring, we are moving money further out…..right when we'll need to pay up Darnell Wright, Caleb Williams, Rome, Loveland, Thuney (hopefully again), Jonah and Dalman.

The idea that we will be able to resign our own core, critical guys AND bring in a marquee free agent is not gonna happen. We don't even have slightly below average players at either 3T or NT. None. Dexter is a joke, and Jarrett is washed up. Billings regressed badly, again, and is also a free agent. So is Williams, who is spot rotations at best. I don't see a scenario where Hendrickson takes less to come here, and we still have money to fill the other holes, but maybe I'll be shocked.

Gonna have to be real creative, hope some guys take hometown discounts, and hit on most of our draft picks. It can be done, but needs to be managed well.

  3. I think they try to trade Kmet. I believe he is 11M a year and with the explosion of Loveland, I think it is worth seeing if we can get some value. His playing time was dramatically cut.

  4. Also, Kieq, Franklin-Myers is being projected to get a three-year deal worth up to $44 Million. I don't know where you're getting this 2 year, $14 million from. That is very wishful thinking. Also, we don't need a tweener guy – we need legit help at 3T and NT. Franklin-Myers is a 3rd down 3T, in obvious passing downs.

Same for Hendrickson – Bengals bumped him up to $30 for one season. I don't see him taking less money, and likely a shorter contract, than what other teams can and most likely will throw his way.

  5. I agree with you, there are several players that will be restructured not traded or cut to make room on our cap. Not sure about the older players when we need to infuse youth. Either way excited about the 2026 season….🐻👇🏼

  6. Didn't even attempt to address our most obvious and glaring weakness realistically – our interior DL. And it's not close. Dexter and Jarrett are non-factors, and a huge reason why our run defense was so bad, and got zero pocket collapse or interior pressure. DA was having to bring secondary pressure all game, not just to rush Stafford, but to run fit. Billings was giving up 5-6 yards a carry when run at, and is also a FA.

We need a 330 lbs beast, like a McDonald, Orange or Corleone, at NT. That can eat double teams and push the pocket. That alone will make our edge rushers markedly better. We got zero pocket push, all season long.

That has to be a primary focus, even before DE.

  7. Your dreaming this is not madden there not going after no 31 yr player trey Ben wants to draft young players free agency no remember dayo DE bust and Grady Jarret another free agent Bust they will clear cap space and extended RT Darnell wright draft young defenders
