1. Malik Willis and Mitch Trubisky are both free agents, and either would make a nice bridge to 2027.

There is never a perfect time to just insert a franchise QB in. There are 2 types of teams in the NFL: those who have QBs and those who don't. If you can get a QB this year, grab him. The Jets have an ideal situation, I know how that sounds, for a young QB: nice O-Line, Garrett Wilson, Breece Hall if you keep him. Plus $100 million in cap space and picks.
