14. What about the 8 minutes and 20 seconds about this monologue was HUGE Bellinger news? I don't think I've ever heard as many assumptions made on a topic that made no sense. Let's look at some facts …… if anyone was disrespected, it's Pete Alonso ….. both last off-season and this past off-season ….. where did Alonso sign last year? Back with the team that disrespected him because he couldn't get a better deal. Further, how on earth do YOU know that Bellinger wants to be in NY? Allegedly, the Yankees have a standing offer of 5 years/$160M ($32M AAV) on the table ….. Bellinger appears to be adamant on wanting 7 years with no AAV specified ….. those are fairly reliable reported numbers ….. further, it's pretty clear that Stearns is opposed to longer term deals so the way I read this is that if there is a team that blinks at extends a 6 or 7 year offer at $30M-$32M AAV, Bellinger is going there. Nothing about these scenarios indicates the Mets have a legitimate shot at getting him ….. I realize anything can happen but do you really think there's a snowball's chance in hell he is a Met after all this?

26. Why in the world would you want the Mets to go 12-20mm higher than 32mm? That is a terrible contract waiting to happen. That puts them at 400mm and they haven’t addressed the pitching staff. They need to allocate that 52mm you want to give to frontline pitching such as frontline pitching such as framber and peralta to a Trade and SIGN which will be huge money. The pitching lost us the playoffs last year and the rotation is the same and the bullpen is worse. Bellinger might help us get to the playoffs but won’t win us the WS. Have you looked at bellingers stats or do just like the name? He has a 2.3 ave war over the last 5 yrs and had a 2.2 war in 24 and chi was done with him. In 25 he absolutely raked at Yankee stadium with a 900 ops as a dead pull hr hitter in friendly RF. Did you look at his road splits? He had a 301 on base and a 715 ops and 101 ops+. His last 2 yrs aren’t worth what the Yankees are offering other than as a fit for Yankee stadium. The Mets are fools and in panic mode still from losing out on Tucker if they give him 40-52mm. And don’t say they can do both… sign him and address the pitching. Peralta will cost a lot in a trade and is dumb if it’s just for one year…you need to trade and sign him to a longterm high aav contract and this also puts us out of the skubal sweepstakes next year. The dodgers make 1 billion a year and can pay as much as they want for anyone and they are in dynasty mode. They have 3 pitchers with eras in the 2s we have none. Yamamoto single handedly won the WS and we have no one that can go toe to toe with him. The only pitchers that can are skubal and skenes. We need 2 frontline starters to compete with the dodgers and Yankees in the playoffs. The dodgers got better with Tucker and Diaz. We are still near last years team that missed the playoffs . We need framber AND peralta to give us a playoff rotation with McLean or Senga … if cohen plans to do a 500mm payroll fine …I don’t care about his insider trading money but Stearns does. The dodgers are only at 423mm and don’t put it past them to trade for skubal or peralta . Please comment in a detailed way about every aspect that I brought up …not just a non subject response of they can do both!
