We’re celebrating 50 Seasons of Toronto Blue Jays Baseball in 2026!

From coast to coast to coast. Generation to generation. YOU have been there from our humble (snowy) beginnings at Exhibition Stadium in 1977. You were there for our first ever division title in 1985. You were there as we finally reached the top of the mountain in 1992, and then again in 1993 as we went back-to-back. From dominant pitching performances, to memorable nail-biting October nights, you were there for the rise of many Blue Jays legends. And in 2026…we celebrate it all. Welcome to our 50th Season!

  3. I was born in 1975 in Toronto and my first baseball things as a baby had the Montreal Expos name and logo on it. Ten years later, with my "Drive of '85" button on my jacket, I watched George Bell catch the final out of Doyle Alexander's two-hit shutout to secure the first AL East title (too bad George Brett almost single-handedly defeated the Jays in the ALCS). I remember the final game of the 1987 season, where they lost 1-0 in Detroit to lose the division title to those same Tigers. I remember Bell's extra-inning homer to walk-off Exhibition Stadium, and Fred McGriff's first-ever SkyDome homer (too bad they lost that first game to Milwaukee). I watched as Junior Felix caught the flyball that secured Dave Stieb's no-hitter in Cleveland. I almost concussed myself jumping up and banging my head on my friend's ceiling when the Jays won the WS in '92, and I was standing in Section 525 at the 'Dome when Joe Carter hit the '93 WS-winning homer. I was in the building when Roger Clemens struck-out 16 batters to set the team record. I watched on TV as Carlos Delgado had his 4-homer game. I remember the John MacDonald Father's Day homer against San Fran (what a moment that was). I remember Kevin Pillar's first circus-like catch, scaling the fence to rob a homer in LF. I remember how I reacted to the Josh Donaldson trade (I'm still amazed that it happened). Jose Bautista's and Edwin Encarnacion's offensive exploits. Marco Estrada's crazy-good playoff start against KC in 2015. In 2019, we saw Vlad and Bo's debuts (along with two of the worst Jays, ever – Alen Hanson and Socrates Brito). George Springer signed here!!! Teoscar Hernandez and Lourdes Gurriel Jr brought us smiles and pineapples. And then 2025 rolled around… The Jays are a big part of my life, as you can see.

Cheers, everyone!! And, as the late, great Fergie Olver used to say, "HOW ABOUT THOSE TORONTO BLUE JAYS!!!!!!!!"

  4. i was a die hard jays fan my whole life and was even at the first game at exhibiton stadium but since you went woke and traded a player cause he wouldnt wear your pride jerseys i will never cheer and watch you and the leafs are the same way ever again,

  5. I can remember 1st watching my 1st Jays game as far back as 1989; but it took a couple more seasons before I really got into watching Blue Jays baseball & just so happens that it came during their World Series championship seasons of 1992 & '93. Then came a lot of lean years after, but we still got to watch players such as Carlos Delgado, Roy Halladay, & Shawn Green shine wearing the Jays uniform. THEN came 2015 when the Jays finally climbed back into the postseason & Jose Bautista's memorable 'Bat Flip' HR. And of course then came LAST year when the Jays rose from a last-place finish in 2024 to the very brink of winning another World Series championship. Stuck through it all these years, all the highs & lows, all the ups & downs. Watching Blue Jays baseball has now become like a part of the summer for me as well as a lot of us here.

Here's to another 50 MORE years of Blue Jays baseball….

….and hopefully, finally, we get that NEXT championship ring again.
