I have no doubt he’s going to be a coordinator again and I wish him well. Seemed like a good dude doing the best he could in this shit organization.
My two cents: Gannon is well respected. Gannon will get a pick of his job next season. Gannon got Petzing the Detroit job. Him and his friends all run around like a mean girl clique and they have a LOT of connections through their agents to the paperboys and to other front offices. It’s a little embarrassing how you can immediately sniff out the national media’s affinity for Drew fucking Petzing of all people. A lot of the league either feels like or has been told to believe that K1 was the source of all of our woes this season. People obviously don’t watch enough Cardinal games to know that’s true. That’s part of the reason why this HC job is so undesirable despite being better talent wise, pick wise, facilities wise etc.
In short: Good riddance. I liked him as a person. I bought in at times. But for as confidently I bought into him I also checked out really badly when he refused to hold anybody except Kyler accountable. When he chose to side with Putz. He not only dug his own grave, but he continues to haunt the organization. Like most humans, a complicated individual.
Its like no one watched our games the last few years.
That tracks.
Best of luck to him, he’s just one of those guys who probably isn’t meant to be a head coach and is better fit as a coordinator. Honestly I never understood why he didn’t ever call plays on defense in his tenure as I feel like he should’ve done what got him the job in the first place but oh well.
lol as packers cardinals fan this is interesting fs
