2. Please not him, I hope the rams lose just to free up Shula before Rooney gets impatient and goes after someone like Flores.

3. Shula is first choice for sure, but I wouldn’t be mad if we signed Flores.

6. This guy turned a bottom 5 defense into a top 5 defense in two years. I’ll gladly take him.

7. His record as HC really isn’t good

8. I don’t get why people don’t like this. Everyone was complaining about how our scheme was too boring last year, and how we never moved TJ around, and all of that. This dude has some of the most creative and aggressive defensive schemes in the league last year, with a defense that doesn’t have half the personal talent that we do. I’d be really excited to see what Flores cooks up with the guys we have.

11. Flores isn’t my current first choice but I like him better than several other candidates. Will be interesting to see if they narrow down to a short list next week after they get a chance to meet with anyone coaching this weekend

17. Give me Shula. Sorry but I’m not too keen on someone who already failed at being a HC. Anyone acting like he would be an immediate upgrade to the defense is correct, however, you could probably grab half the people in this comment section and they’d be better than Austin.

18. Past two Steelers coaches were not well known to the public and both were defensive guys. Do they buck this trend this time around?
