Id trade jj to salah for a 2 and take 2 pass rushers in 1st round then do what ever they want in round 2. Bain needs to be in this team and as much as I love jj there is no guarantee he will ever be the same player as he was before the Achilles and McDonald cant stop the run he's a pass rusher only. Need 3 down players and I don't know if jj will ever be that again and we already know McDonald isn't it

9. As a Canes fan I can say Bain is a beast, and would fit AG’s profile for a larger DE that can set the edge who has the versatility to slide inside at times. A solid if not flashy #2 pick. Clemons slides to #4 edge or off the roster. Draft qb/wr at 16 and get more starters with 2 #2’s. Also, AG needs to take over D calls with Harris as protégé, no one of any worth is willing to step into this quicksand pit.

10. I am starting to lean Bain at 2. Matt, thoughts on possibly packaging two seconds for the pick right before or after our second first round pick. I would consider this if Lemon and Styles are available. Imagine coming out of the first with Bain, Styles and Lemon.

11. Bains floor for me is JFM. I really think he is a better version of him. I would be fine with him at 2. Reece to me is more of a boom or bust type player? One could argue Reece has a higher ceiling potentially but imo he has a lower floor. I think Bain is the safer pick between the 2 players.

18. I think Bain at 2 is great. I also thinks it’s very likely bc the Jets seem to like Miami players with their 2 picks last draft. They both stink though so their opinions might have changed

19. The glowing PR for Saleh has been a head scratcher for sure. Dude is not without his warts for his time with the Jets. Reading the media's positive takes just confirmed to me that Saleh was the one leaking info to the media during his NYJ era.

26. I listened to the championship game as I was driving. I listened to the Indiana broadcast and lost count how many times they called out Bains name. In big games he pops off the screen, unlike Reece. I’m not saying Reece sucks by any means but Bain is who I’d prefer.

28. Regardless of Salah’s camp trying to put draft pick selection blame anywhere but on his shoulders, he did leave the Jets in better shape than Glenn/ Mougey have at the end this past season.

    Unfortunately when you fire a defensive HC and higher a new defensive HC, if the new guys system is different and he has no clue how to design plays that work with the player he has, the team fails & finger pointing always goes toward the past leadership.

Jets have had top ten picks continuously for like 3 decades….. and somehow one of the worst rosters in football. and, not co incidence, worst coaching staffs. way back when , yawn – my fave all time Jet , R. Caster was a 2 nd rnd pick that actually scared other teams. Wes Walker, 2 nd round. Gastineau, 2 nd round. Klecko , low round. nowadays…….

31. So 13 defensive picks in the last 15 years of losing wasn't enough! You want the Jets to draft 14 maybe 15 defensive players in 16 years. This is the definition of insane. No wonder this franchise is the worst in sports

34. Saleh has shown that he can call a good defense and that he can attract top free agents to sign with him. What doomed him with the Jets was the Jets drafting Zach Wilson and then trying to make up for it by hiring Hackett to attract Rodgers. Just should have just been patient, brought in an experienced and successful offensive coordinator.

35. I want Bain at 2! He is a stud, Arvell just doesn’t sit well with me. I could be wrong but I feel he is hit or miss for my taste.

37. As a Jets + Miami Hurricanes fan, the best choice for the Jets is to trade down, which I don't think anyone would want to trade up. If you have to pick second, Bane is a monster, and has been for a while. His stats don't match game tape, don't fall for it. He gets held, double or even triple teamed every play.
