Why Ja Morant WON’T Fix New Orleans Pelicans’ Biggest Issues or Elevate Playoff Hopes

New Orleans Pelicans face a harsh reality: trading for Ja Morant won’t fix their biggest problems. Can a flashy addition overcome the team’s lack of rim protection, rebounding, and floor spacing, or is the center position still holding them back from NBA playoff success?

Jake Madison breaks down the salary cap dilemma, explores realistic Ja Morant trade scenarios, and examines why it might not move the needle. Analysis covers the limitations of the upcoming free agent class, restricted options for upgrading at center, and the impact of controversial trade rumors around Yves Missi. Should the Pelicans run it back or start a hard reset? Get insider perspectives on the crucial roster decisions shaping the Pelicans’ future—and whether short-sighted moves will keep the team stuck in mediocrity.

  1. Every dayer bro Love the team, but I feel your reference about the Titanic is spot on. I feel honestly Morant would be amazing to watch with the rest of our team so far but until we get a proper center better rotation and more confident in the coaching staff I don’t see it anywhere

  2. Mr. ErryDat'rr 👈🏾 Thanks Jake! Bro u making nervous with all the segments on us trading for Ja. Please tell me they're not really considering this stupid move. Z and Ja are the least available 1st and 2nd draft picks in history! Whn u see Joey D tell him to give me a call

  3. The problem with this team is easily explainable; everybody (including you) has been:

    "Locked on Zion"

    SMH!!!

Until he goes, what we see right now on the court is our future.

  4. Trades… But who is your franchise player? You can not become a contender without that guy… Look at the blazers! Average, good, but not a contender. Teams in middle are traped . Besides everydoby loves to win but more important is to be ok with the way you loose. Nola loose with bad reasons… Nets loose with purpose. You re fooling yourself… Again!
