Tarik Skubal and the Detroit Tigers Seem Destined to Part Ways | Hold My Ball Podcast

Welcome to the Hold My Ball Podcast hosted by Jake Savicki.

A record difference in arbitration, a back to back Cy Young/Triple Crown winner, and a team that doesn’t look like they’re willing to pay. Will the Tigers let Skubal go for free like the Angels did Ohtani? Or will they trade him before it’s all said and done?

  1. I think he's going to stay but it'll be like a Mike Trout type of deal. Detroit will blow the bank keeping him but won't win anything significant as a team.

  2. Skubal's coming to the Dodgers!!!

    "Come here, my man.
    We appreciate greatness.
    We won't short change you.
And, whileyou are here, let's get you a nice bling"
    😊😊

  3. You think Detroit would lock him in by now. 250 millions extension apart offer. Low ball arb offer.. shoot the Detroit tour didn’t work. Just trade him to the Dodgers already lol

  4. Trade to the dodgers maybe Mets would be Detroits wisest move.
Detroits owner kinda sounds like a bozo with that lame offer tho so he prob pulls an Artie Moreno

  5. tigers have had 3 cy young winners on their teams in the last 15 years, cole, verlander and now skubal they wont pay it cuz they could have done it 2 times before this

  6. Finally…a podcaster who understands….Dodgers got the best player (Ohtani) for 10 years and he deferred his contract to get other players. Dodgers are so far 2 for 2 in championships. Why would they stop the brakes. They are going for it and will maximize Ohtani's best years. The podcaster gets it more than more seasoned ones and deserves 100K+ subscribers.
