A’s Had Deal In Place For Nolan Arenado Prior To D-Backs

Oh, man. I’d have died from laughing too hard if he’d ended up with the A’s.
Not the point, but it sucks how A’s ownership gave up on Oakland so completely, and now they’re willing to spend and compete.
I wouldn’t wish that on him.
Yeah… Why would Chaim even think that would be a possibility?

This makes me feel a little better about the amount of money in the D-backs deal since we didn’t have much of a choice
The most interesting thing in this article is there is another baseball player named Max Muncy.
I wonder how long Nolan laughed when this was mentioned to him.
I can understand why Nolan wouldn’t want to spend the last two years of his contract spending half his season in that substandard Sacramento clubhouse. He’s earned better.
Like he was ever going to want to go there anyway
Can we interest them in one Brendan Donovan?
And it was worse than the three rusty nickels Arizona offered, lol (not knocking the deal, taking what they could get was absolutely the right call).
I think Arenado might not have agreed to waive his no trade clause to go play in a AAA stadium in Sacramento.
