A’s Had Deal In Place For Nolan Arenado Prior To D-Backs

  1. Oh, man. I’d have died from laughing too hard if he’d ended up with the A’s.

  2. Not the point, but it sucks how A’s ownership gave up on Oakland so completely, and now they’re willing to spend and compete.

  3. This makes me feel a little better about the amount of money in the D-backs deal since we didn’t have much of a choice

  4. The most interesting thing in this article is there is another baseball player named Max Muncy.

  5. I can understand why Nolan wouldn’t want to spend the last two years of his contract spending half his season in that substandard Sacramento clubhouse. He’s earned better.

  6. And it was worse than the three rusty nickels Arizona offered, lol (not knocking the deal, taking what they could get was absolutely the right call).

  7. I think Arenado might not have agreed to waive his no trade clause to go play in a AAA stadium in Sacramento.
