Baker: Failed is quite the reach pal. Still waiting on a text/call from him after I got shipped off like a piece of garbage. Can’t wait to see you twice a year, Coach.
D. Orlando Ledbetter: Falcons’ Kevin Stefanski had a dumpster fire at quarterback in Cleveland — Baker Mayfield and Deshaun Watson failed, which started a chain reaction to 11 other starters.

Atlanta is the enemy.
Carolina has my pity.
That’s all the teams of relevance.
I live in Northeast Ohio, and my brothers are all Browns fans… they were different levels of dubious/skeptical/cautiously optimistic over the Watson in/Baker out saga, and there was definitely some weirdness going on with Baker and Stefanski. The consensus among them was that Baker was hurt, but refused to admit to the severity of it, and Stefanski didn’t really know how to handle it. However, I think that Stefanski is a decent coach that paid for the sins of an utterly inept front office that saddled him with the most expensive poop sandwich of a roster torpedoing contract attached to a qb that was too expensive to cut and too dumb to learn a playbook. Or so I’ve been told.
Nah fuck Baker
The Deshaun Watson trade blew up in their face, but it’s such hilarious revisionist history to pretend that Baker was this established/consistent QB when he was very much inconsistent on the Browns and moving on from him made perfect sense. The Browns tried to do what the Rams did where they moved on from a inconsistent QB who showed flashes (Goff/Baker) to a proven and more consistent QB (Watson/Stafford).
Watson was a legit top 5 QB on the Texans and nobody could see him going down in flames. People likely thought he would be like Big Ben where he would be a POS who was good at football but instead he was probably just as bad of a QB as he is a person.
Personally I think Stefanski is a fine coach who has gotten a lot of bullshit heat recently mainly from insane Shedeur fanboys who constantly make up conspiracy theories about how Stefanski is keeping him down when Shedeur just sucks.
I think it’s funny as hell. I don’t like Tampa, but the Browns, including Stefanski, did do Baker wrong. Dude has every right to have a chip on his shoulder. If anything itll at least make the division more interesting if Atlanta and Tampa have a more heated rivalry, pardon the pun.
