Why Are the Patriots Only 5.5 favorites vs. Denver β and Can Darnold Really Outplay Stafford? π€π₯
Nick Wright, Danny Parkins, Chris Broussard, and Coach Eric Mangini break down why the New England Patriots are only 5.5-point favorites against the Denver Broncos despite Denver starting a backup quarterback. The crew then debates whether Sam Darnold can outplay Matthew Stafford, before diving into the Kansas City Chiefs bringing back Eric Bieniemy as offensive coordinator. Later, they discuss Kevin Stefanskiβs move to Atlanta as head coach and whether Robert Salehβs going to Tennessee can deliver immediate results.

Why not look at how the teams are playing recently instead of long ago. How are they doing rite now? Playoffs is about the hottest team.
Is gonna be a looooooong week for wildes if his Patriots lose to the Broncos, but must watch TV ππππ
Chiefs didn't have as much success as the Steelers in the 70s, or the 49ers π π sorry dude they are the bottom of the dynasty tiers
Nick: In the 4th quarter, I trust Stafford more than Darnold.
Week 16: Seattle outscored the Rams 24-14 in the 4th quarter and OT.
Edit: I do know that 6 of those 24 points came off a punt return. So, let's call it 18-14. If we take away the crazy wild backwards pass 2 point conversion, it becomes 16-14. No matter how you cut it, Darnold was clutch in the 4th quarter and OT.
Josh McDaniels need to study what tlaw and Allen did to the broncos defense cause there were
Moment that they shred the defense
i enjoy nicks commentary but if he believes that andy cant be bad at coaching due to his history he mustβve forgot about late stage bill and how horrible he was. andy for 2 years now has made inexplicable calls and coaching decisions as well as not updating his horrid offense despite the league clearly catching up to him. hes been bad and needs to step up if the chiefs are to reclaim their throne
I will never get the Kevin Stefanski glaze, he gets hyped up got his COTY but has done nothing else. Losing record and his offenses arenβt so great. Stefanski is the only coach that doesnβt get blame for the roster they construct π€£π€£
Rams versus Seahawks will be a close game to the end. Darnold doesnβt need to outplay Stafford.
Wow! Nick said something nice about the Broncos. Is he drinking again?
Bla Bla Blaw, You don't even know what Team QBs are on…
What Ever, can't do a Deep Dive on anything… Stating the same Sh!t as everyone…
Long hair is always wrong. Idk how people take him serious anymore.
Wow, twilight zone is happening π³π³π₯² giving props to our Denver Broncos? π₯²π€π€π€ π I felt the same..Bo is still developing, Stidham is equipped with knowledge from HOF players and a accurate arm. Ty Nick π€π€ GO BRONCOS!πͺππ and repeat ππ give Bo a chance to defend the LOMBARDI!
If Stidy can play as mid as Caleb has this playoffs they probably still lose
Love how they mention how the rams dogged darnold in 2 games this year. Nobody mentions how they dogged him in 2 games last year as well.
All you guys are so offensive minded that defensive teams are flat out discounted barring what I said Denver I believe need Bo Nix the Patriots win
Matchups make games personally, Darnold doesn't have to out duel Stafford, all he has to do is play his game and not force it
The other two times Stafford faced Seattle since MacDonald became the coach he had two of his worst games as a Ram. He also had that incredible game. But itβs not a given that will happen again.
The rams lost once but if you look at the first game against the rams they almost lost that one too. Itβs always the Seahawks struggle with the rams narrative but to me it seems like the rams struggle with the hawks. Take away an amazing punt on that first game and Seahawks wouldβve won that game
The hate on the patriots is real on ESPN they always bash them unless wildes. Mangini is a big hater and mad nobody calling him to coach
5.5 is about right. It's really 8.5 if we add the typical 3 points for the home team. Denver is very good at home, they have a decisive permanent home field advantage (the air) plus they're very loud there. The defense is definitely capable of keeping the game close, and if the Texans were within 5 late with Shroud as the QB, it's hard to see how Stidham could be worse. Plus Davis might be out, making Stidham's job a bit easier.
I could easily see a close game where the Patriots have some success but only put up 20 or so, and the Broncos have some terrible-looking drives but also connect on big plays half a dozen times and also get to somewhere near 20. The big question for the Patriots is if Campbell is going to do a better job and if Hollins will be back to block linebackers and to make catches over the middle. And whether Maye will once again discover that he can step to the left side and run for a 1st down almost anytime he wants.
Pats Are Back !!!
Letβs be honest. You think Josh McDaniels is going to let this be a close game against the broncos of all teams? Pats win by 30
Im a Pats fan, and my biggest takeaway from this episode is 'Have you guys bothered to watch the Seahawks this year?'.
I think for the flow and format, just have Danny host the show when Wildes isnt there and leave Nick to do what he always does!
Every teams defense takes a step back when they have to play on a short week on Thursday night. Yeah Seattle gave up a lot of yards but it was a short week. Seattle now has 8 days rest before the next game
L without Wildes
Go ahead, sleep on Stiddy ππ
The rams are getting dog walked im telling yall , you never give a defensive coach a chance to make an adjustment.
20:07 that line was just outta pocket πππ
Brian Hoyer was the backup QB for legendary coach Bill Belichick and legendary OC Josh McDaniels for near 20 years. Just so people are aware just cause youβre a legendary coaches first choice for backup does NOT make you a good QB
EB getting credit for the Bears running game is wild considering he refused to run the ball in Washington and helped get Sam Howell pummeled relentlessly
Lolππ denver getting rolled! I like how they tryin to make it sound like a game tho
"They didn't lose Josh Allen" says Danny… No. They lost the guy that played better than Josh and beat him… smh
These clowns π€‘ find every reason to hate and discredit the Pats π€¬π€¬π€¬
Did you all forget the Pats are the #1 offense by EPA/play?? 160 yards by Stidham and rely on your D is.. a recipe for a blowout, lol. Pats are perfect on the road, too, which is a weird thing not to mention when talking about the Broncos home record.
You jack-weeds have misrepresented Bo Nix for 2 straight years. You don't know football. You yakety-yak, but you don't know football.
i thought the rams were a good bet to win it all but the seahawks went to a new level last week and I'm putting the house on the seahawks to win it all.
Drake faced the Texans defense top 3 in the league
I was hoping the Giants would hire Bieniemy as OC. wishful thinking
Drake maye been playing the toughest defenses in the league for the playoffs and they wondering why he getting sacked so much πππ these guys
Hold on. How is it not mentioned that the patriots drafted stidham? They have the MOST tape on him. Beyond that McDaniels was he HC in Denver when stidham started a few games. This element of surprise due to lack of faith they will not be as great as they are saying
Drake maye has shown next to nothing this post season to why he should be nearly a TD favorite on the road.
The guy with the beard is not too smart. π
Lmao patriots 36-10
It's crazy that they're saying Denver can win with Jarrett Stidham. It isn't going to happen. This is such nonsense. The Patriots just beat the alleged best defense in the league.
