Whilst I might be looking for a punchline I've just been asked by a fellow Englishman, not particularly a fan of the NFL, what do Browns fans drink in the stadium to keep warm? Outside of an occasional emotional support whiskey I don't have a clue.

Watching soccer in the depths of winter over here it's customary to drink a nice hot Bovril* when things get a little nippy. (Other drinks are available dependent on dietary restrictions).

*Link to Bovril, like Marmite, might polarise opinions.

  4. They have hot beverage stands at the stadium where you can get coffee and hot chocolate with the option to add in a shot of liquor like Bailey’s, kaluah, or Jameson.

  9. At the stadium, everyone is different. you can drink hot drinks (I drink black coffee) but it usually goes cold in like 5 minutes.

    Most people dress really warm and drink whatever they’d drink if it were nice outside.

    Now I have to consider the fact that Stefanski really was an enthusiastic participant in the pursuit of Watson. 

    For so long we’ve acted like he was a bus rider in that move. I don’t think we can say that anymore. 

  11. So you’re saying that take a cube of that Bovril d stuff and pour boiling water over it and serve it in a paper cup?

    Sounds pretty good during a game, actually. Maybe a little gluhwein in the second half.
