It seems like the Cardinals are interviewing a lot of people with defense as the background. I wouldn’t one surprised if Shula and Vance are their top targets even though I would prefer Kubiak or LeFleur.

I really don’t mind this. Dude turned Jacksonville completely around defensively with the same personnel.
Was WELL liked in the locker room.
I watch every Jaguars game since my brother is a fan of them. Their defense reminded me of Nick Rallis’ but with more talented players at edge rusher and linebacker. A lot of only sending 4 rushers and having the secondary play way off the receivers. Not a ton of blitzing. This would be a disaster hire unless we get some real talent for the front seven.
The jaguars defense was a top 10 unit this season, but he only has 1 year of DC experience. You’d think since it appears that we’re moving off of Murray and probably drafting a QB in the not too distant future, they would want to look for an offensive minded coach, but Monti/Bidwill are mostly interviewing defensive coaches.
Ooooh. I didn’t know he was available. I was following Jacksonville this year and watched a bunch of his interviews. Their defense was fantastic and he seems like a great leader. I’m intrigued by this choice.

At this point, they’re just making up names
This is a guy who would be getting serious HC interviews next year if his defense keeps the same pace as it did this year so I’m not against this

FWIW, the Jags sub seems like they do not want to lose this guy. That’s not a predictor for HC success, but it’s at least a little encouraging.
