  1. Derek making it clear that the offensive line needs to be properly revamped/solidified as well. Retooling the rest of the team as much as possible is also key along with hitting on the HC + staff hires. Yes indeed, All very doable✔️

  2. I’m in complete agreement. We’ve got the money, we’ve got to put it in the O-Line, sacrifice other later round picks too if we need to.

  9. I think it’s silly he had to clarify and put this out. If you actually listened to the whole chat last week he said the same thing. People just chopped it up to make it sound like he said don’t draft Mendoza so they could get clicks and then the streamers did the same thing.

    Like him as our old QB or not, the guy truly loves the Raiders and wants nothing but the best for them. It’s just most people can’t do more than watch a 3-second click and rage one way or the other for their own infamy and clicks LOL.

  11. How can you not like Derrick carr? I want to see him back in silver and black. If hes done playing, he needs to be on our staff in some compacity and getting a coaching career started or even come in to be the 3rd stringer just to groom mendoza. Whatever the route is, he needs to be in our building. Problem is, idk if Brady is much of a fan of carr and may still be carrying resentment that the raiders passed on him to keep carr. But that is on Gruden, not Carr

  12. I think we can have Mendoza and put together a good OL that can grow into a great OL.
    He will look like Drake Maye in his first season and Cam Ward at times.
    That’s how you build it.
    What we can’t do is let hobbyists coach the position.
    Good OL coach partnered with a great QB coach.

  14. But even saying the Raiders need to fix the o-line and everything else to justify picking Mendoza is kind of dumb. Of course they should try to fortify the team but they should also pick Mendoza no matter what.

  15. I don’t really care what he thinks, it only matter what the Raiders think. That being said, he is correct and he didn’t only point out the OL…he said all around which can also include WR.

  16. It’s not just personnel. I want them to spend the money on coaches and coordinators so that whoever’s in place is on the same page and they understand that they need to protect this man at all costs.

  21. You can tell that doesn’t want Mendoza in a situation where his brother was in the Texans. He looked at his brother and had all those flashbacks of him. If we don’t get a good o-line it’s going to be a long season for our future quarterback.

  24. They should have been doing this all along. You can’t have a QB scrambling for his life his entire career. 2016 Carr had one of the top O-lines in the league w/Penn, Hudson Osemele. Gannon had a good O-line in the 2000’s as well. Don’t cheap out on protection, protect your investment.
