  3. Lol your first priority is winning? You would have stayed with the blue Jays if that was the case or had gone to the Dodgers. You went to the Mets because it was the most money and most flexible contract.

  8. I'm hearing from Stearns, in not so many words, that the Mets likely thought Alonso was giving ABs away. Me, looking back, I can agree Pete probably gave ABs away during his time with the Mets.

  9. lol…..so he had to turn to the Agent to address the opt out…..Tells you all you need to know what the plan is moving forward….This guy is mercenary which is fine. He's probably opting out already…lol

  14. Man, i was hyper-critical of Stearns and the front office at the start of the off-season, but this team is shaping up nicely. Just gotta get some more pitching and they should be a very solid team in '26.

  18. Trading one Luis for another Luis. This is a very good and low risk trade. Roberts brings Gold Glove defense. I think Roberts is going to thrive in a much better lineup. The Mets may get 20 plus homers from the no. 9 hole. Last year Lindor stole 31 bases, Soto 38 and Roberts 33 … 102 stolen bases from your no. 9, no. 1 and no. 2 hitters. Bichette (batting 3rd) may have a career year in RBIs.
