[Pagnotta] The blueline is a priority for San Jose moving forward, as they are open to buying & selling. They’re listening on all their pending UFA dmen, while also searching for young NHL caliber talent. Believe there’s interest in NYR D Braden Schneider, for example.

  1. They’re on the east coast, so hopefully they didn’t stay up to watch the Rangers last night.

  2. It’s time for Schneider to have the best game of his life against the sharks! Prop up the value, make the trade and he doesn’t even have to travel back with us! Dooooooo it!

  3. It’s nice to finally be at a point in time where Braden Schneider is no longer untouchable in trades. It’s been an arduous few years.

  4. I’m for it. SJS is heavy in forward prospects/talent and abysmal in defensive depth. Wonder if they’d be willing to part ways with Chernyshov or Musty

  5. worst fan base in hockey. yall are so clueless. with the exception of drury. 😂👍🏼🤙🏼

  6. I feel like Schneider could put his shit together on another team like skjei. I’ve been wrong about that before though.

  7. Reminder that we once got a first rounder for Brady Skjei. Schneider could fetch more than you think.

  8. Pagnotta is usually never correct so take this with a grain of salt, but it would be nice to get one of their forward prospects.

  9. Sharks have the #1 ranked pipeline. I bet we could get a decent forward prospect for Schneids. It’s not going to be Chernysov or Musty though. Probably more like Bystedt or Haltunen… Just guessing from conversations with all my friends who are Sharks fans out here in California.

  10. We only have 3 defensemen worth a damn and you guys want to trade one of them in a rough spot of his career when he was thrust into top pairing minutes.

Look at our back end. Fox,  Garikov and bundle of who gives a fuck.

We need to be adding puck movers to Schneider, not jettesoning him just because he’s not a top pairing guy

  11. I think rangers need to keep Schneider. He’s huge, physical and plays a good defensive game. You need guys like him and he is so young there is a massive upside. Sell pieces who we have given the opportunity to grow here… ex: Laffy

  12. Am curious what the return would be for a guy like Schneider. As a young RHD, he’s worth at least a 1st round pick. My guess is, if he’s moved, it’s for another young roster player in a hockey trade. Ie, a team that needs a RHD and has a promising young F stuck on the 3rd line because of the players above him.
