Romeo Doubs on his future: “I would love to be a Green Bay Packer.”

  1. It would still have to be a discount but it’s not as impossible as some make it seem

After Jenkins and Gary are cut, the Packers will basically have room for one, maybe two real moves. Will this be one is the question

  2. I think everyone would love to keep him… but its a business and I just don’t think GB can afford to pay him what he really is worth. He will get snatched up quick Im sure. He earned a nice fat contract somewhere.

  3. I would love that too. But the way that Watson played once he came back made me okay with him leaving.

I still want to see him in a Packers guardian cap running routes on a modest salary though.

  4. Man, would I love to keep him. The miffed onside kick has overshadowed a year in which he was Jordan’s security blanket several games.

  5. Market valuation is $13mil a year

Id love to keep him but that is a heavy price tag

KC better grab this man quick if they are smart. He’s far better than MVS ever was

  6. He’s got to go I’m over having to rely on a guy who would be a depth player on almost every other team

  7. No way in hell we keep him. Between Reed, Watson, Golden, Wicks, and Williams our WR room is way too deep to be worried about paying Doubs when we have such glaring needs elsewhere on the roster. Doubs is a great go to guy for first downs but Kraft fills that role even better than Doubs does, so we really have no need for him. Go get your bag buddy. It’s been fun.

  8. They drafted two guys with high capital and they both show signs of high promise, plus they extended Watson for a year on a prove it deal, and so for those reasons I highly doubt he’s back.

Doubs should have a good market. He’s healthy, he’s reliable and he’s done it with two different QBs. He should have a good market with no reason to give the Packers a discount.

  9. Perfect WR2 for a team that needs a solid possession WR to work the short-intermediate stuff.

Unfortunately (and fortunately) WR is one of the spots where we’ll be fine without any major moves. I have faith in Watson/Golden/Wicks/Williams/cheap vet or late round dart throw to get it done. Way too many needs elsewhere that the money and early draft capital need to go.

  10. I will say the opposite of what everyone else is. I want him gone. 1. He should go and get paid.He won’t get top dollar here. 2. We need those targets to go to Watson, Reed, Golden, Wicks and Williams. We have to many receivers right now, and it stunts the development of guys like Golden and Williams. They both have a higher ceiling than Romeo. 3. I don’t think he has much time left in the league. He has had too many concussions already. The smart thing for him is to get paid and play a couple of years and bounce. I think they also have impacted his play as well. —- With that being said I liked him as a player and a teammate and would love to keep him, but the smart thing is to let him go.

  11. I don’t mind Doubs but we drafted Williams and Golden so those boys need room to grow.

I’m sure Doubs will be a success wherever he goes, I can see the Chiefs being keen

  12. I would love for Romeo to be a Packer. But we don’t have the cash to pay him what he deserves, and we need to open up snaps for Matthew Golden & Savion Williams.

I assume Reed and Wicks are both gone after next season, as well. Maybe we can get a bargain on Wicks, but I don’t see it as likely to resign either of those guys after the 2026 season. A WR corps built around Watson, Golden, and Kraft makes sense, while rotating the other pieces with rookie contract players.

So long, Romeo. I’ll be pulling for you in every game that isn’t against the green & gold.

  13. tbh i think reed is overrated, I would love to keep watson, doubs, golden, and either reed/wicks

  14. I love Doubs but Resigning Doubs is like a punch in Golden’s face. Our first round pick deserves the opportunity to shine and he can’t do that as WR4. Golden had his year to sit back and see what the NFL is like. It’s his time now.

  15. I get the point of view of the side that says we can’t possibly pay him what he is worth, but man am I worried about the regression we might see on offence if he leaves. He has always been clutch, especially on so many 3rd downs. I worry that if Golden, Reed or Wicks were to step in those situations last season we would have already seen glimpses of that, and I don’t think we did.

  16. This hurts so much, when it’s a guy you’ve drafted/developed and has become a huge part of the locker room. Him, Watson, and Samori Toure were the first draft class where the front office finally got serious about getting Aaron & Tae some help, as well as begin to build the pieces for Love to have a solid core.

  17. I’d love for him to stay too, just not at the 13 mil+ per year he is going to want. We have too many other holes to fill.

  18. If he takes a massive paycut to stay here I would feel bad for him.

    He should go get paid

  19. I would as well, but only if he’s going to take a cheap contract which won’t happen. I appreciate all he’s done for the team over the years

  20. They always say stuff like this before they leave. He’s proven he’s worth wide reciever two money. I just dont think Green Bay is going to offer him what he wants unfortunately. It opens up more opportunity for Golden going forward tho.

  21. People saying he doesn’t produce enough is just disingenuous. The Packers have been a run first offense and tend to take a more spread the wealth approach when scheming WR’s
