  1. Can we have him call pitches?
Kidding aside, this is good for the organization. Love me some Marciano!

  2. Special Assistant *to* the President of Baseball Operations

Idk what the role actually is but if it leads to something big I’m for it

  3. I’ll always respect that Oli actively seeks out and asks for Yadi to be around as much as possible despite a loud portion of the fanbase wanting that to be his replacement

  4. I applied for this position and thought I had a real shot. It hurts finding out this way.

  5. Hasn’t this already happened once though. I mean I’m happy to see good news and any relationship with Molina coming back is cool and all, but what does this really even mean? Because the skeptic in me is having a hard time seeing that as no more than a publicity stunt to drive attendance. Won’t be getting hopes up until he’s actually on staff and in the dugout or contributing to the farm system.

  6. was he not already the special assistant to the POBO? unless i’m mistaken, i’m pretty sure he already had this role last year.

  7. If he’s at opening day, that “welcome back, number four” announcement from the U-Man is gonna hit like crack

  8. I don’t believe they’d make him manager for 1 reason.. if he was bad, they’d have to fire him. I don’t know that they want “Cardinals fire Yadi” to ever be a headline.

  9. It’s going to be so fun to watch people shit a brick when Chaim extends Oli during spring training

  10. This is what the Royals did with Matheny. I’m not sure if that’s a good omen or a bad omen.

  11. Of course, with this sub it’s more about bitching about Oli as a terrible manager including he’s the worst manager of this century than Molina joining the team.
