1. Really if no other team is biting on for AD, then just go with Kuminga.

   It's a low pay, high reward risk with Kuminga, if he don't fit with Cooper, let him walk next year and that's basically 20mill off the books.

16. I love Isaac, but he's TURRIBLE at trades. He always has the Mavs on the short end, barely getting value. The trade he proposed here had the Mavs trading their biggest non-Coop asset and two very good rotation players on GREAT contracts (I'd say Naji has a top 10 value contract) and only receiving a badly injured player on a MAX contract, Kuminga (a player he only sees as an expiring contract) and ONE 1st that may fall in the 20's. I'm not saying that's Luka trade "bad", but it's akin to something Nico would've negotiated. I'd need at least one more 1st and would rather have Mathurin than Kuminga.

26. You will get a 1st and a 2nd. Maybe a young player like Podz or Moody.

27. Picks are overrated. Most lottery picks are 1. Never all stars. 2. Not even starting for their teams. Only the first and second picks in most drafts turn out to be stars. These are hard to get. In 45 years the Mavs have selected 8 Allstars in the draft and five of those were playing for other teams when they were selected to the AST.

    Doing trades right now for the Mavs they must focus on established players. What is needed is a true starting point guard to pair with Kyrie when he returns. With those two + Cooper Flagg the Mavs will be a destination for 4's and 5's.

With that mock trade you should probably retitle the video “Are the Mavs desperate…” cause that’s insanely bad business for the Mavs. Butler won’t play a single game on that contract, Kuminga is a much worse PJ but maybe he turns into something, and that 2026 GS 1st would be pick 16 minimum. How is Golden State getting more value than the Mavs here? Like a ton more value. Naji & Gaff are both worth late 1sts, you can argue borderline lotto picks & probably more value than Kuminga. And AD is worth more than the return we are getting in this whole trade. I get the expectation piece but man that’s highway robbery for Golden State.
