  1. Serious question: Is it normal for baseball players to be working out at their stadiums in the off-season or is this a baseball manga main character thing?

  2. For those wondering about Ohtani and why he basically lives on the field and asking if it’s normal, he’s a  “*yakyū shōnen*” known as a “baseball boy” in japan —a kid who lives, eats and breathes baseball. Ichiro is a good example of that. Not all Japanese players are like that for example: Yamamoto and Hideki Matsui, you can still be the best but the yakyu shonen love baseball and take it very serious.

  3. I don’t believe those rumors about Kyle being not motivated but him seeing a 4-time unanimous MVP, arguably the greatest baseball player of all time put in the work in the middle of the off season, will at least give him a motivational boost.

  4. Okay – I was picking out my season ticket seats in right field and we found two baseballs that looked like they had been launched- what chance do you think the are Ohtani BP dinger balls?

  5. Ohtani  pretty much works out at Dodger stadium during the offseason.  likely 6 days a week.
