  1. I was watching Jett Williams highlights before this trade was announced and lo and behold heโ€™s tradedโ€ฆ.Peralta is an excellent trade,Metsies starting to come into form๐Ÿ‘

  2. This trade will age like milk. Too much for a rental. 2026 is a WS or bust year now and I cant see how the Mets beats the Dodgers in 7. This was a desperate move from a GM who is managing for his job.

  3. How's u gonna give up Matt Harvey Jr?!

    For 1 year rental?

    Giving up Sproat and Williams?

    and Gilbert..

    and PCA?

Cudda played Jet every day instead of washed up Polanco.

    Typical Mets!

    Mets gonna Mets!

    Let's go, Mets!! ๐ŸŠ and ๐Ÿซ!

  4. 6:11 – the anger in the fanbase felt to me more about "Okay so now what?" and watching Stearns take his time replacing some major pieces was hardly confidence-inspiring. The moves themselves weren't the issues (maybe with the exception of Pete and Diaz, mostly for the Williams deal re: Diaz), and it wasn't until the last week that the answer to that first question has been mostly answered. Bichette, Robert Jr, now Peralta and in those two trades we didn't have to give up any irreplaceable pieces.

We still have a hole at first purely from positionally who will play there, and while I think Polanco is an underrated signing who could be very clutch for us and he and Vientos are both going to be pulling reps there, that is still a question that doesn't have a clearcut answer. There's no McLean, Tong, or Benge waiitng in the wings to play first if Polanco on defense doesn't work out.

  5. Meyers started and pitched well in that classic playoff game a couple years ago when Pete Alonso homered off Devin Williams. Now Alonso is gone and both of those Brewers are Mets. Wild.
