I realize this would never happen, but is it remotely logical?

Warriors get Zion and the fascinating, unpredictable, extremely high potential that may help Steph have a championship long shot.

Pelicans take on bad money, injured, 36 year old Jimmy. Pels take on the drama that comes with him. For compensation, pelicans get all the picks. Warriors have enough picks available, so I won’t squabble over what the exact amount should be.

This is the “tear it down” and build around Fears, Queen, and Trey path.

For what it’s worth, I don’t think the Warriors would do this.

Thoughts?

  1. Jimmy would be 37 at the earliest IF he plays again. I’m not sure why we’d even do this.

  2. I’m down with the strategy. The only hang up is jimmy has another year after this one, and is never going to play one second here even if he had an intact ACL, which he doesn’t.

Basically a bet against Zion and father time.

  3. I’d rather trade them Trey for few post curry picks, maybe you get lucky with a top 3 pick in a few years
