It looks like they have him on the JJ development plan by having him play make and initiate the offense more and also incorporating some grab and go work in transition. So far, so good…

  3. That looks like a JJ stat line to me. It will be good for him taking a larger role when results don’t matter. I really didn’t like him in the draft last year but his willingness to shoot the 3 has turned me into a believer. Bring some confidence back to Atlanta Asa.

  4. Is there not enough minutes for him at the NBA level?

    Seems to me like he could be helpful to the cause.

  5. Love it. If he isn’t getting minutes on the main squad have him play every Skyhawks game. Will build his confidence and skillset to go dominate and have the opportunity to initiate.

  6. Why are some Hawks fans so eager to trade their young players. It don’t make sense. Asa could be in the rotation as early as next season. He has to get stronger and he has to work on that right hand.

  7. It’s encouraging and great numbers but I actually have no idea how to gauge the g-league anymore lol. Like Ray J Dennis 45 points, sharife cooper used to go in there and get 30 a game and bufkin dropped 40+ the other week.

    I’m so confused lol

  8. Asa has the skills and bag to hang with the main squad but he’s still got a college body. An extra 20lbs will do him wonders. Hopefully he gets more time in the weight room with the Skyhawks

  13. I don’t see Asa as being on the JJ development plan. JJ already had some guard skills and you could see that from his short time at Duke. Asa is a PF who makes simple passes, not a playmaking forward. JJ is always going to be a better dribbler as well and I don’t want to see Asa taking jumpshots off the dribble at the NBA level.
