GG Pens đ¤đ§
Call me crazy, but is this the most uninspiring crowd we've ever seen? Absolutely motionless through at least the first two periods so far, like they have no interest in being here…
No letang no karlson no problem! Pens are playing some damn good hockey!!! CROSBY, MALKIN, AND LETANG ONE LAST RIDE!!!!! LETS GO PENS!!! đ§ đ§ đ§
Holy moly…that goal by Novak was absolutely sick.
You Calgary flames got to get some goalies
Chinakov has the best shot on the pens lately, his release has so much speed and precision. Hes 2/2 in the shootsouts
I got so mad
Goals were sick, STUUUUUU is on fire. The boys are buzzing
@NHL how did the game end?

This team is impressing the heck out of me, every night. Love it!!
Ultimate hockey!!!
No one talking about how good Skinner is at blocking shots
One thing that's very evident about this year's team is its Jekyll and Hyde nature.
During the 8-game losing streak, and the more recent 3-game skid, the lack of hustle is obvious. They look like they're skating in mud, they're being outworked in all zones, frequently outshot, they're not getting back on defense, and they're completely abandoning assignments, and in many cases cutting star players loose and then predictably get torched.
If you take the Dec. 21 game against Montreal as an example, they're just being hopelessly outplayed (they won that game in the SO, but Montreal made them look like clowns in overtime as Pittsburgh could not even gain control of the puck, let alone generate chances, and the Pens won by pure luck).
But when you look at them on their winning streaks, it's a completely different team. The paradigm totally flips.
That's what's concerning going forward. This team has the ability to outwork opponents, and be dynamic. But for whatever reason, they slip into these funks where they're like, "Eh, we're just not bringing it tonight. Screw it."
They've won 3 of their last 4 now, and the L to Columbus still got them 1 point. But prior to that, they scored a total of 2 goals in the span of 3 games, and they looked like they didn't even want to be out there. I mean, you can't do better than 1 goal against a Calgary team with a losing record? That's just taking the night off. You get shutout 1-0 by Boston? And then TB holds to 1 goal? Come on, man.
They have to realize that they are a bubble team as far as making the playoffs this year. There are no "nights off". There are no easy games. Every point counts.
