  1. You can’t even think about trading Miller. You just traded for him and made him the captain. That’s absurd, if you even approach him about it, you can cause more issues. If you do crazy shit like this, no one will ever want to sign in NY with all the drama and wild tactics. There aren’t gonna be a billion big moves, they’ll move Panarin and maybe 2-3 other guys that are less big fish. Mika isn’t going anywhere either. You gotta be realistic. Laf is a good trade target but for who? Trading him hurts us more right now, he won’t get much of a return. We don’t have the ability to make that many massive moves. Trocheck is a good asset to move, I can see him fetching a nice return. It’s not just as easy as everyone thinks to trade guys, especially if they have contracts that keep us from doing it. Diminished returns too, teams know we’re desperate for change. Everyone is gonna be let down, just be ready.

  2. If they keep Mika they basically have to trade Trocheck. Laf is too expensive for what he brings currently. They'll get peanuts if they move him though out of 31 GMs one of them may figure the Rangers can't develop talent and he's still a 24 yr old first overall and take a chance. never say never. I said it 2 even 3 years ago and I think I'm right that this player doesn't train hard enough. If he's gonna verify to any degree start with getting those ankles stronger. You've got to fast turn and finesse on your skates better than that IMHO. IDK maybe with age and 7 years in the league he'll figure out he's got talent but needs to work harder or he'll wind up wasting it. Anyway we'll see what our friend Drury does….

  3. I think Mika, Trochek and Miller aren't getting traded unless they get blown away by the offer. Bread is gone. Maybe Schneider too.

  4. To me the only thing that makes sense as to why they are giving up Panarin while keeping Fox and shesty is that Drury thinks he will be able to sign McDavid next summer. He is the only player who will be able to replace losing Bread.

  5. I think you are getting too, hung up on the words here. You can call it a re-tool or a rebuild but it’s obvious this team has been going in a different direction since last year.

Drury started the rebuild or tear down less season so it’s unfair to JT Miller as being a poor leader when he was brought in at the end of that move

Just because only Panarins name was mentioned doesn’t mean other players won’t be moved. The GM brought in Miller for leadership. You just can’t have a team of young players. You have to have some vet presence.

I believe that Lafrienere can be salvaged. I don’t understand how a fan base wants to move on from the first overall so quickly he has shown he can’t play very well. There is an element on this team that needs to change.

The vestige is moving out vets like Panarin.. Mika if possible and hopefully Trocheck. Let’s see what happens before you call this a failure. lol it has just started!

  6. Im confused. Brett said trading 10 shouldn't be considered a Re-Tool, that it would be a Re-Build because of how important 10 is. Then at the end he says NYR need to Re-Build or actually Re-Tool. Which is it!? We know 10 is gone, and he firmly states that moving 10 should only be considered a Re-Build but gives the option to "Actually Re-Build". What are we doing here? Brett?

  7. When Fox and Shesty got injured the same day it was obviously the end of this Rangers season, not that they looked as Cup contenders before that. But at least playoffs were possible.
There is no denying that at this point. The numbers speak louder than words.
The Winter Classic win was the last time I saw the Rangers play like they did 2 years ago. It was an illusion obviously.
Retool, rebuild, whatever! Things look bad whatever vocabulary you use.

  8. What good is a rebuild for a team that has almost never been able to develop talent? They need to restock the cupboard with as much upper level talent as possible. O other way to a cup outside of that. 🫣

  9. The Rangers need to drastically change their player development system. They’re have been horrible at that. You can’t bring in young talent because they will destroy those players

  10. Something is going on with Schneider… he was playing so well up to 3 weeks ago and just quit.
There is something in this locker room !
Maybe we have some gay players that came out in the locker room, or some bullying, but clearly there are players not even trying now for 2 years and 2 diff coaches.

If Scotty Bowman were coaching it would be the same B/S…. except the starters would all be in the bleachers and the rooks playing.

That reminds me, didnt Sully come up with the "no B/S" tee for pre-season?
Going with reverse psychology, how about "no hitting" for next year??

  11. I know people say nyrs cant devlope players but if thats true why have the players they drafted , then traded to other organizations , still suck?
    Ex: kappo
    Chytil
    Lias anderson
    Vitali kratzov
Nils lundqvist and on and on. Nobody else fixed them.
Its looking like the player not the developer

  12. I don't care what verbage they're using…it's a rebuild…we will be picking top 3…You have to commit to the Captain, Igor, and Fox… Panarin, and Trochek will bring in a couple of blue chip prospects, and young NHL'ers each. I'm not sold that the return for Laf is worth trading him for…I'd like to see him on the left next year.

  13. If they are going to retool, Miller and Trochek arent going anywhere. They have no Centers in the pipeline. On Defense, Schneider, Fox, Robertson and Morrow are a great core, with Gabs, they are set for a long time to come. Schneider is an RFA, they have cap space next year, dont trade him. The Throw these guys into fire ready not(K Miller, and Schneider) and then the fans turn on these guys and its a joke. Drury is moron and the fans are experts, sure.

  14. Agreed, a retool would come back quickly and make the team a contender soon. Trading away the best or second best player on the team would make it a rebuild, because Breadman is guaranteed 2 points a game on average, draft picks are lottery tickets. Trading the under performing players and seeing if you can get some talent from free agency and the draft would be a retool. But Drury is a tool, so and messed up the last rebuild so he doesn’t want to admit his failures. The Rangers underperformance, is because of Drury and Sullivan.

  15. You need Miller for some veteran presence and he still has good potential. I think the team was beyond what he could work with. Panarin, because of age and cost has to go, waiting will cost them. Lafrenniere, maybe he can be fixed but his contract is a train wreck unless he scores 40+ goals. They need scoring and he's not it. Trade him. Sheary, Radysh, Soucy, can all go via trade. Trocheck does some good things but is getting older, slower, taking dumb penalties, etc..trade him now before its worse. Open cap space, build up some draft picks..we have time. This season is over.

  16. Dude you're trying so hard to be heard. There is no news for analysis. Youre just chirping a melody you think others want to hear. Give us some inside track. Any dummy on YouTube can get all these updates that you weave on through Twitter. Bad job on this zzzzz.zzzzzz..
