I hope these guys continue their reign in the Bay Area for years to come, as long as Mike Tomlin was in Pittsburgh or Harbaugh in Baltimore! They’ve proven time and again they can bounce back from down years and retool the team back to competitive playoff runs. As long as they are around, we’ll always have a chance!

  2. So glad to not be in the same situation as Raider fans. 2 wildcard round losses in the last 23 years. We are a very lucky fan base to have these guys.

  6. I agree on Shanahan but not Lynch, we’ve had non stop misses in the first two rounds of the draft

  7. Best tandem in football. Bad year for injuries, and once you get that defense back you wont miss Saleh.

They truly piss me off sometimes, and I feel like some very serious blunders have been masked by pure luck (i.e. the Trey Lance trade getting masked by lucking into Purdy), but overall I also feel the same way that as long as they are running the show, our team will be a player among the NFL’s best.

  10. Seattle has been drafting good players in their secondary for a few years now and with some key players they drafted, signed, and beefed up their defensive line in one year. Same with the Rams, weren’t rams playing rookies last season and almost beat the eagles, and this year a win away from being in the SB? Lynch is on a timer

  14. Yeah, I’m still getting over Trey Lance. And while I think Shanny has proven his ability as a coach, my jury is still out about Lynch as GM.

  15. Outside of actually winning the Super Bowl, they’ve put a product on the field that is the most successful since the 90s and they’re nearing their 10-year anniversary.

    I honestly wouldn’t mind having them for another 10 after that.

  18. A lot of people in here seem to not understand that firing somebody doesn’t mean you’re automatically getting an upgrade. You’re getting an unknown. Like the bills firing their HC a few days ago. For who? Can they even get a better coach right now?

  20. Its not important that we love him what is important is that Jed York loves him. Jed York values continuity after going through the Harbaugh Chip Kelly Tomsula years. Shanny could probably go winless for 3 years in a row and still keep his job.

  26. I’m sorry no new elite offensive lineman taken since Trent Williams, we will not win a Super Bowl until
    We have at least 3 elite offensive linemen playing. We can’t run the ball against elite defenses like the Seahawks or KC unless the majority of our line is considered elite. Out Okay offensive linemen does good against par or sub par teams but will never beat the good ones for a Super Bowl.

  27. Ok assuming that Jed fires Kyle who is a viable replacement? John Harbaugh? Not bad. Tomlin? I think he’s okay but he hasn’t gotten past the wild card in ages. I’m not sure there is someone out there who is as innovative as him that is available. I don’t there is someone out there who Jed is looking at and thinks is better than Kyle.

  28. Lynch has been good not great. So many 1-3 round misses, he does really well in round 4-7 but the 1-3 misses are catching up to us

  29. Agreed. They give us a chance every year even when we’re playing a dozen rookies and all the stars are injured… impressive. Most impressive

    Super Bowl or being angry and miserable is the wrong way to fan.

  31. Thank you. I 100% agree. I just dont understand these “fans” wanting them fired. Yes, it sucks not having won a SB yet, but I enjoy that they are a competitive team each year. I swear that the people would rather have a jets/cardinals/ raiders type team with no hope each year. I appreciate having Kyle and John.
