I hope he’s not leaving. We’re not getting anything worthwhile if he does other than our billionaire owner saving some money.
I’d 100% choose him over the rookie coach who was basically forced on us a year and a half ago when Taylor Jenkins was still the coach. Who has since proven no sense in when to make substitutions or take timeouts.
I welcome the inevitable downvotes for supporting the most influential player in franchise history over some rookie head coach who hasn’t proven anything

He gets traded, he doesn’t burn bridges. He doesn’t, he gets the extension and we’ll hopefully stay healthy and lead the Grizzlies to the play-in and maybe playoffs (pending injuries).
