1. I'm excited for the future and trust the Rooney's to make a solid choice. I'm just hoping it's with a nod to the future not the 70's. We need a good offensive mind

2. I think it's time to give the kid a shot. Not just because he deserves one. But because that's a great way to hit the reset button for the entire locker room.

3. Paraphrasing Mr. Miagi: "Walk left side of road safe. Walk right side of road safe. Walk middle of road, soon or later squish, just like grape". Bringing in Rodgers, trading for Ramsey, extending TJ made it appear they were all-in on 2025. But the lack of obtaining a WR2 proved that they were in fact NOT all in. They didn't want to trade draft capitol for a WR2. So, they tried toeing the middle line and it didn't work. Seriously, this is the prime opportunity to execute a complete REBUILD!!! If not now then when??? They can't keep trying to be competitive when they don't have the horses (Art II's words, not mine). I wish they would fully commit to blowing it up and rebuilding it. Get out of the middle of the road ya jagoff!!!!

4. Heaven forbid we start a tall, sturdy, talented, mobile QB with a concept of “team.” Why do that when we have the option of a skittish, immobile, self serving, washed up QB?

5. Mason needs to go. Start Howard and sign another veteran backup.

6. I loathe the "get a chance" crowd. Brother, my guy is a 6th round draft pick. 6th round draft picks get limited chances at the start of this thing. It's just the way it goes. The 6th round pick has to make his mark in camp and the preseason. If he passes those tests then you can move on to the point where he should eventually get a chance to start an NFL game. Can we at least get to that point before we say that Howard is a viable option? The meltdown when the franchise brings in at minimum, a veteran, is going to epic. Howard needs to earn it, not be handed the reigns based on "vibes".

7. If they higher Mike Mccarthy that to me represents football 10-20 years ago, and that ownership doesnt want to move into this era of the sport. That shows Rooney wants to live in the past.

8. I think you’re right DK. Rooney wants someone to knock his socks off, and, frankly, make it an easy decision. He wants to have no doubts that he chose the right guy.

9. I don’t know how good Will Howard is. Draft position doesn’t matter (Brock Purdy). I do know he can’t be any worse than Bo Nixx!

15. My standpoint is that we need to see what Howard can do. He could be the next Tom Brady or the next Kenny Pickett, but we won't know until he gets a chance.

16. I don't understand why every media person in Pittsburgh seems to be out on Howard. You're starting over into a new regime. At least see what you have until the next draft class comes out in 2027. Trade for, or acquire a veteran Qb and let them compete.

21. The Steelers under Tomlin went from building under the draft to bringing in these prehistoric players, because he couldn’t develop anyone. Through time Tomlin is going to be shown to be a terrible coach.

22. It's just a good idea to see what you have in your draft picks. If you never play him, you'll never know. The Steelers should definitely still draft a QB because you always need backups.

23. Maybe we want Howard because he is the only QB with potential on our roster right now under the age of 30 . With the upcoming draft having such lack of options FANS will gravitate to anything positive even if its the unknown Howard. If the EXPERTS knew who was good or bad at the QB position they would inform the billionaire owners and the millionaire coaching staffs , but all I see are many errors in judgement. I'm sure Howard could start and throw 4 Ints in one half like the other "good " QBs. But let's not act like we know the future . Howard sat for a year and watched , that means something even in this impatient league. Better coaching should give us better results at every position even at QB and having some mobility at the position (Will) could help. Just give him a chance and stop being pessimistic .

28. After Rosenberger left Tomlin just totally screwed up quarterback position. Now you have Rudolph and Howard, Rudolph plays well but doesn't seem to win and if you didn't think Howard was able to play the position and why did you draft him. Now the talk is you draft a quarterback which everybody knows probably not better than Howard or you bring in a veteran which probably won't be any better than Rudolph. Tomlin left the team in the dilemma probably one of the reasons why he left. Oh well you have two guys I say little compete and the best player wins

29. It seems to me that Howard has the "intangibles " to be a good leader. His personality lends itself as to having the team rally around him.

32. Rooney didn’t say Aaron was Mike’s guy. He said Aaron came to Pittsburgh to play for Mike so with Mike not here he probably won’t want to be there. Very different than what you said.
    I’d personally rather give Will Howard a year than bring in Willis. Also don’t think it’s even worth mentioning Justin Fields.

33. For me, it's as simple as "don't know until we try him". I don't doubt Mason's professionalism but I don't see him as a starting QB in this league. I figure we try Howard in his remaining 3 years he has and build the rest of the team in the meantime. Then we have an idea of whether we keep him or have a great landing spot for a draft prospect or trade prospect.

35. Absolutely give Howard a shot. They need to draft heavy for stud wide-outs and also Defensive backs.

36. I have a feeling there are going to be a lot of players already on the roster uncovered by the departure of Tomlin. Mike played favorites, no one can dispute that.

37. Not even a concern personally. Will Howard, Jack Sawyer, Cam Heyward, Ryan Shazier, Santonio Holmes…OHIO!!! Pittsburgh Steelers have a type and with Tomlin's connection to Omar Khan, Andy Weidl and the scouting department i believe they have some hope that Will Howard can develop into a viable option. But they need the right OC an QB coach he's got the arm, size, and leadership qualities you look for. Not sure about the quarterback quality in the draft go grab Malik Willis in free agency on a two year deal and have a legit quarterback competition. Rudolph is just a placeholder and he's shown them what he is.

38. No one is saying the kid shouldn’t get a shot but there’s a reason he fell where he is. He doesn’t have elite arm talent thr system he ran was not an nfl system these things matter more than just stats and that job gruden blew him in a for entertainment show.

39. I think they should run with Mason and Will. If there’s a chance to draft Trinidad Chambliss I think they should and let all 3 of them go at it for QB1

40. Why not stick a microphone in front of Aaron Rodgers and ask his opinion of Will Howard and perhaps follow on with what Aaron Rodgers would do to maximize our team's success going forward.
