Dylan Cardwell: “In college I averaged 5 points per game, I rebounded the ball five times per game, I averaged like 1.6 blocks per game. No one thought I was an NBA player. I’m not supposed to be here. I’m living my childhood dream. This is a dream come true for me.”

  1. Tons of these stories around league right now.

Nba neeeds more and more development spots

Could easily expand right now too

  2. We need nba teams to have 25 guys under contract directly. They should start having nba teams loan to Australia and China etc and then recall them when need them and assist in their development too etc..

    Have extensive rosters

  3. I think this is the first time in history anyone has called playing on the Kings a dream come true.

Unless one considers night terrors dreams.

  4. He’s an amazing defender with great energy, his style suits the NBA game as a role player perfectly.

  5. “All glory to god”, “outside the will of god”… Holy shit bro give yourself some credit

  6. It was crazy how loud Sac got when he was subbed in against the Heat last night. He is beloved or something. I stopped paying attention to the game and then heard the Sac crowd roar and this guy was getting subbed in. Cool story.

  7. He had stud teammates in college too which is crazy. If you told any auburn fans he’d be a better pro than broome or tahaad, they’d call you crazy.

  8. This guy is so much fun. He’s been fantastic too. People shit on the kings and yea their lows are brutal, but they are actually a really fun watch with Westbrook, Malik, and now cardwell. He engages with the crowd so much too. Pure entertainer hahaha

  9. I like this dude. He got up from a flagrant foul when they played the rockets like it was a theatric performance lol. He didn’t lay on the floor acting like he got shot lol.

  10. Really annoying when pro athletes attribute all of their success to god. No man, you did that. Be proud

  11. This is great but I hate people who say “I wouldn’t be here without god”. No dude, *you* put in the work, as well as countless other people who helped along the way.

Same type of people to thank god after surgery but not the doctors. Completely braindead.

  12. Love his energy on the floor, actually tries to block or alter all shots from the inside. Great motor, if he adds a little more offense to his game he will be a great asset for any team.

  13. In these dark days of being a Kings fan, this guy in one of the few reasons to watch them play. His energy and love for the game is fun to see.

We may suck, but at least everyone plays hard and looks engaged.

  14. Keep grinding 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽

Sidebar, his college statline reminds me of Ric Carlisle asking Steven Adams why he left college early with a similar statline lol

  15. Damn i love his perspective on the locker room & pushing back against the all business notion 🥹
