The man was in his absolute bag this offszn. I will admit I was a little uneasy with the trades he made but he absolutely hit home runs in all his free agent signings and drafted masterfully. We got incredibly lucky that ownership stuck with him and trusted he would rebuild and retool after years of mediocrity. Truly one of the most underrated GMs of his era.

That 37—3 loss to the Ravens in 2023 was actually a huge blessing in disguise, as it motivated Schneider to get Macdonald.
John is only 54 years old, has been our GM for nearly 15 years, and is probably the best exec that any Seattle sports franchise has ever had. He could be in charge of the Seahawks for another decade and *still* wouldn’t be at retirement age quite yet. The odds are in his favor that whenever he does retire, he will be a multi-time Super Bowl champ and a likely Hall of Famer.
He deserves all of the credit for hiring Mike and building the current roster, plus has been totally vindicated for some unpopular roster moves (swapping out Geno for Darnold and trading DK are the two obvious ones). We are so lucky to have him in charge and I hope he never runs a different team.

Long overdue, but what a great season for the voters to finally wake up to what he’s done for the Seahawks.

You know what he does better than GM? He helped setup Ben’s Fund, a charity that supports Autism. The first thing I would do if I saw him is to thank him and give him a big hug.
