Seeing the Titans sub refer to Saleh as “Glorious King” and “Almost a 100% sure home run hire”

Have they climbed the mountain yet?
Just wait until their RT false starts for the 6th time on one drive, and the camera pans to an emotionless Saleh
Blows my mind that any team would hire him as a HC after what he did here. They are going to immediately regret this.
Have they done Salehmander posts yet?
In their defense, most people do better after they leave the jets. Guess we’ll find out if he’s a crap HC or was it just us.
Tbf I think he was a pretty decent head coach. He can’t do offense but he made our defense look incredible in a way that Ulbrich and Glenn have been unable to do with most of the same pieces. I told my friend who’s a titans fan to expect that the defense gets good and for Cam Ward to not develop at all and be a total bust…
Fire salad?
Look there are clearly reasons to Not like the Saleh hire: Jets leadership, discipline, and offensive issues.
And there are reasons to like the Saleh hire: defensive mastermind, what he did with the 9rrs this year was incredible.
BUT, the elephant in the room here with this hire is that he has an actual QB this time. That ain’t Zach Wilson.
Idk who in their right mind would say that
Selective amnesia.
Look forward to a lot of “Good week of practice” quotes.
A new sucker is born every day.
Its funny how TEN fired Callahan and was like “whew we almost ruined Ward” then went out and hired a guy who presided over the #2 OA busting spectacularly. Not saying that was all RS fault, but the point is he is not going to be helping your young QB, which shoulda been the priority.
Has he brought out All gas no brakes yet?
Considering they are coming off the Brian Callahan era and were heavily linked to Matt Nagy, I can see them being optimistic/excited about Saleh. And it’s easy to paint a picture, he fixes the defense, gets the right coordinator in for Cam Ward and they could have something interesting there. We will see if it actually comes to fruition
Idk. I don’t think Saleh is some slam dunk hire, but I also don’t think he’s THAT bad. He 100% should’ve had a playoff appearance (maybe even a win?) in 2022 that would make his resume look better, but he had one of the worst QBs in history ruining his season.
As of right now, my assessment on Saleh would be that he’s mediocre but has potential. I mean his defense was fucking outstanding in 22 and 23. If he’s improved as a coach (cough, not ignoring the offense, cough). I think he’ll be good in Tennessee. Wouldn’t be shocked if he gets them a wild card berth in the next two years, that division sucks ass. I can see Houston declining a bit.
If he hasn’t changed his ways, Titans will be mediocre for 2 years and move on.
Honestly, Salah wasn’t bad. Our defense was always top 10, maybe top 5, and we didn’t look bad. Now, our offense didn’t get that great but we started 6-2 one year, even though we finished 7-10. But he wasn’t a bad coach, nonetheless.
I like Saleh and I think he could still be a successful coach but I’m not sure Tennessee was the right place
I like Saleh, but I wish he picked a better situation. He is also gaming the media really well now having been forged here in the fires of NY Sports talk radio.
I agree with the rest of you that this does not seem like it will work out.
I noticed that too in the sub. They’re convinced he’s a home run hit, which I get being optimistic for your team but they didn’t really look at his weaknesses with the jets. He wasn’t a good leader, we lead the league in penalties, he did nothing on offense, he made bad in game decisions. He didn’t put together a good body of work.
For all the shit Saleh gets, Zach Wilson being an all time generational bust is ultimately what held him back. Kind of interested to see how Saleh does with a full season without Zach Wilson as his starter.
What’s done is done at this point, Saleh has been gone for more than a year now and I don’t care about the Titans.
I liked 2021 Robert Saleh way more than 2025 Aaron Glenn despite both having very shitty historically bad teams. For all the shit Saleh gets about his bad clock management, Glenn is just as bad. Saleh is by far a much better defensive mind than Glenn.
Hope you like awful clock management
He may not have been put in the best position to succeed, but the narrative that he was simply a victim of the Jets’ dysfunction is something else. My dude, he contributed to the dysfunction. Also, his defense got worse every year. I didn’t see many 49ers games this year the end of the season and playoffs, but their defense reminded me a lot of Saleh’s the last two years–no pressure from the front 4, poor tackling, can’t stop the run, and when the D makes a few clutch plays to put the offense in thrid and long they routinely give up the first down.
All Gas, No brakes lol
I developed an immense hatred for the 49ers BECAUSE of their insane gaslighting pro Saleh bullshit.
The titans haven’t been on that shit so I just wish them luck, they’re gonna need it
Saleh must have the best PR firm in the country working for him. You’d think they just hired prime Belichick with the way the media is hyping this hire up. I truly don’t understand, were they watching the same games we watched?
What has changed about Saleh that people are so high on him as a HC again?
