The Celtics Make NO SENSE
The Boston Celtics were supposed to struggle this year with Jayson Tatum out with an achilles injury but instead Jaylen Brown playing career best basketball has them as the second seed in the East ahead of the New York Knicks and only behind the Detroit Pistons. It’s very impressive and with a Jayson Tatum return on the horizon, the Celtics might be poised to win the Eastern Conference and be back in the NBA Finals out of nowhere.

I think most Celtics fans coming into the season considered being the 4-6 seed an incredible success, most gave up after that early season loss to BKN, Thunder Celtics finals would be fun
How many of these "they shouldn't be this good" videos are we going to keep seeing at this point? It's almost the All-Star break and these 🌽🏀 "OMG TATUM IS OUT THEY SHOULDNT BE THIS GOOD, WITHOUT ALL WORLD, FUTURE HOF AND THEIR BEST PLAYER EVER JAYSON TATUM" videos are still littering YouTube. And because we're Celtics fans, the algorithm keeps bringing us these stupid, regurgitated talking points with these hyperbolic, high on some type of upper, babbling at the mouth content creators.
Nobody who's actually Celtics fan is surprised by this Team's success. It's only you Tatum fangirls.
So Jesse Eisenberg from that God awful BVsS film…take it down a whole notch
BEEN SAYING THIS JAYLEN BROWN HAS ALWAYS BEEN BETTER THAN TATUM💯🤷🏾♂️ESPECIALLY WHEN IT MATTERS MOST THATS WHY HE WAS THE FINALS MVP
Shout out for the Acadia sweatshirt! That's basically in my backyard.
I thought they’d be good still because they got rid of a bunch of part-time, old, injured players. They got way more athletic and healthy
Jaylen Brown mvp case..?
Wow…
Glazed’em…..
Hard too …
😂..
Come on ya’ll
Pistons look like the thunder in the east…
Pretty clear its over this year and they get the chip 🤷♂️
DE-TROIT BASKET-BALL!!!!!!
I straight up have the slow the video down to .8 just to here this MF talk lol
C's fan here, super fun/uplifting season. Basically all our role players leveled up (shout out qetta and walsh!). Think we're only one rotational big away from having a great team to brawl with y'all (OKC) throughout the J's primes. Would be some awesome duels!
The reason why they forced him left is because they found out he was injured after that 76ers series. And then he injured his left elbow in game 1 driving to the basketball and got tripping up by Bam its not a big secret. Just no one wants to talk about it they had their narratives and yall ran with it. Before that series you didn't hear anything about him not being able to get left VS the Hawks or the 6ers and you cant show me one "no left hand post" propr to that Heat series. But somehow he cant go left because of 8 t/o when Tatum had 7 the game before and no one mentions it. Or mentions that even though Brown had 8t/o that game he still didn't pass Tatum for the most t/o that whole playoffs, or mention that Brown doesn't hold the nba record for the most turnovers in the post season, or that he avgs less t/o per career than tatum. Its funny turnovers are always synonymous with Brown and not tatum. Anyway i predicted them as top 5 in the east this year. I also said Brown would be averaging what he is now because its the same numbers and fg% he averages the games tatum didnt play. Yall heads were just so far up tatums poop shoot to see it…
Why nothing to say about OKC once they started losing to more than Wemby?
Don't get Chris Forsberg excited talking about Time Lord coming back 🤣🤣🤣
If they’re a top 3 seed with 50+ wins at the end of the season, JB should win mvp
A competent organization and a competent coaching staff. These are the biggest reasons.
Jaylin Brown should be top 3 in MVP ranking this season right now
Tatum is top 4 itl. Jokic, Giannis, SGA, Tatum. Luka doesn’t play defense, I would give you Wemby over Tatum if you are a big Wemby person I just haven’t seen it for long enough yet.
Most of our losses have come in clutch time. When JT is back even if at 70/80% and I reckon we can make the Conference finals/potentially finals
Jayson Tatum shrank the floor on offense and opened up the floor on defense for Miami in that game 7 by not being able to move but playing 40+ min trying to get his Willis read narrative off ; MAINLY because the "top 5" player Tatum did nothing to prevent the 8th seed from getting to a game 7, going up 3-0 in the first place, OR coming back from the deficit. He dint want his overall performance to be looked at. Luckily for Tatum, Jaylens play with limited space to operate scapegoated him
It’s hard to integrate a random player into their system. JT will need to adapt to this system. I would say let’s see what they can do without JT.
Blah Blah Blah…We need a Big not pboyz that brink out from the loop….
We have what we need the JFrauds should have been delt after the rings..
The jacuzzi awaits for the JCools dishing nonsense..RIP Isaiah
Perfect hoody for the topic.
4:42 thats simply incorrect
Brown’s come up is so great to see considering the convos we were having about him a few years ago, especially after he won that Finals MVP. I’m glad he proved his doubters wrong.
Genuinely think it’s of the best come ups we’ve seen in recent history
Joe Mazzulla is to Basketball as Kyle Shanahan is to Football
I have always rated Jaylen Brown as better then Tatum, might be more naturally talented but i thiink Jaylen Brown might be the more intelligent basketball player between the two, so im not really surprised that Jaylen Brown is carrying Boston as the first option
I figured they'd be better than much of the media were saying, but I tempered expectations to like, the play-in or 6th in the east. They've definitely exceeding my expectations so far. HOWEVER, it's important to remember that if JB gets hurt, things will go sideways reaaaaaaaal fast. If JB stays on the floor and they rest him in the last few games of the reg season, they could make some noise in the playoffs. 7 games vs Pistons probably won't be survivable, but you never know.
Love it Cone. I watch every celtics game and this is our funnest team since 2017. Our bench is now made up of young athletic wings who can completely flip games with their hustle and effort and every game is a true team effort led by JB who’s become a lock for 30 every game. No one expected us to be this good so we’re playing with house money. I’m hopeful Tatum is able to return in mid March and have time to knock the rust off before the playoffs and if he’s able to work his way back to 75% of his usual self this season I love our chances of winning the East
I never understood why people thought they’d be bad. The only legit loss they took was JT, Horford is mid and KP got aids. They got replaced by young athletes who can defend and score that made them better not worse.
Love the C's, they've definitely over performed, but they are not championship contenders as constantly constructed. Hopefully something changes, but right now competitive is all they're going to be. They need better rebounding. Scoring has never been their problem. Simons is not needed once Tatum comes back and costs too much. C's need to get value for him before we lose him in the off-season. My 2 cents no one asked for.
We were supposed to beat NY last year, too. I don't see them winning the East in seven game series as constantly constructed.
The Celtics being good is not really a surprise considering who there gm and coach is.
I know some may think it's crazy to ask, but is Tatum coming back early disruptive to the flow the Celtics are currently in?
Keep talking about the Celtics like all the sports media and keep ignoring my Pistons. BTW the Celtics are closer to the 10th seed than they are the 1st seed.
2:41 Top5
I said 55 wins at the beginning of the season because I said to myself Brown, White and Pritchard are champions they are not going to tank the season end of story!💚☘️#19
Tatum is and has been for years, a top 5 player
Brown is pretty good going to the left this year clearly he’s been working on that.
I think sneakily the weirdest part of them is that their second option Derick White isn’t even playing well and still they’re winning
Shout out to Neemias Queta being the steady oak this year this young man impresses me and how quickly he’s feeling about his role and he’s flourishing let him fly!💚☘️#19
Neemias Queta deserve Most improve player of the year 😂
Love the IQ shoutout 14:57
Top 6ish? 4 straight all NBA first teams. He's clearly been, at worst, the 5th best player in the league for the 4 seasons leading up to his injury.
Trades, brown, knick,NY, trades , det pistons, trades olrondo magic, 😊😊😊😊
JB is the more efficient JT
I was certain the C's would finish above .500 and no lower than the 6th seed in the east. Even I have been surprised at how well they've played. Part of it is that the east has been weaker than expected, and the bar was low, but the other part is the team infrastructure. Boston has the finest Head Coach and GM east of Presti. Class organization top to bottom that always, always prioritizes winning and winning the right way.
When is Chris Boucher coming back? 🤔
I always thought that both players were great: it just that the media focused on Tatum
Just proves that Tatum isn’t as valuable as his fans swear he is
I hindsight Boston IS who we thought Atlanta COULD BE. The difference is championship dna and people understanding their roles.
