  1. The people saying “ he has weak knees and injury issues “. He got hurt last year , besides that he’s been healthy . He doesn’t have weak knees. Do you guys watch baseball? He just hit over.300 , top 3 in most hitting category’s. 2nd in average , 1st with runners in scoring position , top 5 in rbi

  2. Not a good owner and leader which Ed fucken Rogers is who could have stepped in after the 2022 season where they choked against Seattle in the playoffs and signed Bo and Vlad to long term deals and Teoscar to short term deal . Instead they the gave Bo a chintzy 3 year deal for about 33 million I think they were going to arbitration with Bo but at the last minute Bo got the 3 year chintzy deal Vlad Jr wanted to sign a long term deal They instead went to arbitration Rogers wanted to give Vlad Jr 20 million Vlad Jr wanted 22 million for one year > Then after Atkins and Shapiro traded Teoscar and Guriel Jr and did not resign Bo"s friend the year before Semien Bo was not happy losing 3 big bats in the middle of the lineup that helped the team win games and his protection . Instead they got cheap options Old Belt old Kiermaier with little production not even close to a proven hitter Varsho at .220 hitter who strikes out too much One reason Ed Rogers is mostly cheap for a rich owner plus Ed wanted to renovate the Rogers dome soon and that would cost a lot of money so they wanted to keep player costs down

  3. They had 2 better shortstops playing every day at lesser positions because Bo's ego would not let them move him. His offense gives and his d taketh away. Way too much money for a good but not great bat with an awful glove. Letting him go was the right move. Now use his money elsewhere please.

  4. One wonders what was said during his arbitration hearing for his final year. No arm, slow foot speed, doesn't take walks, can't range from right to left, overthrows with regularity..

  5. Just because Rogers has all the money to spend doesn’t mean Rogers should spend stupidly.
Bo viewed himself as being worth more than what the Jays thought he was worth. It happens.

  6. They didn"t have to pay Bo 42 million if they signed Bo 3 years ago or earlier this offseason The only reason Bo got 42 million was Tucker got 60 million the day before and the Mets needed to pick up a top end free agent after losing big free agents Tucker,to L.A Alonzo to Baltimore their closer to L.A. . The Mets needed good press from an angry fan base and signing Bo was the way to do it

  7. Loser fans that didn't understand that only thing that mattered to Bo was top dollar and he's not worth what the Mets paid him. 27 with no speed or arm. Going to be defensive disaster with at 3rd. Going to give bunt singles at a record pace at 3rd!

  8. With the tax way more than 42 million came down to business decision and team roster decision they now have room during the year I think they should be loading up on pitching that's why the dodgers won

  9. In my opinion, it seems clear that the main issue was Bo's health and ability to run and play defense. Knowing what the FO thinks about defense and fitness, they pushed Vladdy to get in better shape which he did, and his running and defense have improved. Whereas Bo has gone the opposite direction. Look at his physique in 2021 vs now, Bo was slim and athletic and could steal 25 bases and now he's husky and can't run. This was before he got injured too, and because he's not in shape he's more susceptible to getting injured which has been happening for a few years now.

Those concerns plus his below average defense, he now only offers an elite bat which is great, but only worth 25-28 million per year. I bet that's all the FO was willing to give him and there was no way Bo's camp was accepting that.

In the end, Bo got paid way more than he was worth and now is gone. I'll miss him and the only thing I'm upset about is that the FO didn't lock him him up in 2020 to a long term Acuna style deall.

  10. Look yung homies the truth and u guys never say it is simple HE
IS NOT A CANADIAN and our players want to PLAY IN AMERICA not Canada and that’s the truth they play there cause they have to not want to NO ONE EVER JUST PICKS CANADIAN TEAMS BRO and that’s the truth VLAD IS CANADIAN

  11. I think the Mets will regret giving Bichette such a big contract. There is no question that offensively, he's a valuable player. Defensively, he was inconsistent at short and I'm not sure he will be any better at 3rd, where the Mets intend to play him. $42 million was too high a price.

  12. You can say Bo isn't worth that money, sure, but it's not our money. That's been the whole narrative this offseason, we came 2 outs away from winning the World Series, so why are we still worried about money when we have owners who will spend, and we have management who want to spend as well.

Do I think they should've resigned Bo? Yes, absolutely. Did Bo want to stay? Probably, can't say for sure, but I'd be willing to lean towards yes rather than no.

I really think the rift between Bo and the Front Office/Management was bigger than we think. I doubt he'll ever return to a team run by Ross and Mark, but that's not me saying they should be let go or anything. They've done so well this offseason. But I do agree, next time a situation like Bo and Vlad comes up (I hope it does), they have to know how to properly deal with it rather than putting it off until the last second. I remember in 2021 we were talking about Vlad extensions, and it took us until his walk year to finally deal with it, and in turn, we completely forgot about Bo, who was an integral part of our lineup.

  13. @bluejaystoday I don't believe the Jays ever made Bo an offer. They may have kept a conversation going but I am really doubtful a formal contract was ever made. I was surprised in Dec '24 when they traded for Jimenez and I think that is because management was thinking about Bo leaving after the '25 season (based on a ton of reasons). It's unfortunate as a fan to see him go and hear him say what he said during his Mets presser (not that he was going to say anything different) but when he said he wanted to win a championship with the Mets, I had to roll my eyes.

I am thrilled we didn't get Kyle Tucker. Never saw him as a fit for the team and certainly not someone we needed. Bo was more urgent in my mind.

Okay – trade for Miller and go for it at this point!

  14. Actually all we r talking about here may be irrelevant given the current world situation ww3 will override everything including the new mlb cba. We probably will not want to be anywheres near a city watching a baseball game if this comes to pass. So like pandemic time but way worse.

  15. Listen, sometimes this happens. No wrong doing on either side, we would take Bo on a short term deal, but if not, he deserves to go elsewhere. I guarantee he only stays with the Mets short term. Relax peeps. Go get Marte lol

  16. STOP IT! Most fans are NOT UPSET & didn't want to keep the worst defensive shortstop in mlb who is aging poorly, slow, streaky, & injury prone! 🙄

  17. It's cause management was so far up Kyle Tuckers ass they missed the boat on Bo, Shapiro might of built a world series team but don't forget when last year started we all thought it was Shapiros last year here cause he sucked, But even a broken clock is right once a day

  18. All management had to do was bring back the team you had last year, You know, The world series team….. and they couldn't do it, They had to get cute with it and bring in a bunch of players no one was asking for. Chemistry is a real thing and I think we lost too many players from last years team, Chemistry is now fucked . Just had to run it back and they couldn't even do that. I hope we are a better team and we have another run at the world series but I can see the magic from last year is gone and us missing the playoffs completely

  19. Thanks for this coverage. I love Bo so much and it made me sad yesterday that he didn't even get a whole day for his presser, before the Mets announced the Peralta trade. There just seems to always be some shadow over his shine. I know they're professional athletes and 42M a year will keep him warm at night, but he's still human and obvi a sensi guy. All the best to baby Bo. 🥲

  20. Jays still need another big bat. They should of signed Bo, he wanted to come back. They put all their eggs in the Kyle Tucker basket and got burned. Now they need to make a trade asap to get a impact bat, hopefully an Outfielder with term.
