John Carlson has spent his entire career feeding Ovechkin beautiful one-timers. Why can't Sean Durzi do the same? Guenther would be a 40-50 goalscorer if he got the looks that Ovechkin got on a consistent basis. It's frustrating going through all these powerplays and Guenther is lucky to even get one clean look.

Big difference is we don’t have the greatest PP scorer of all time. But yes I do agree. Our PP coach seemed like a god because he was with Washington before, he benefited from the greatest scorer of all time, now that he has to actually strategize and coach he’s falling on his face
As a Caps fan the Ovi strategy only works if you’re able to enter the zone and set up somewhat cleanly (which the Caps are god awful at and why we’re at like 23rd in PP% currently)
