The Ghost of Patrik Nemeth in 2026

  1. Get offer sheets aren’t used much anymore but if we had that 2nd, could have at least tried to woo someone.

    Pretty funny at this point.

  2. Acquiring Nemeth was a pretty obvious example that Drury and our professional scouts are terrible at what they do. He was a legit hockey terrorist on the ice for the Avs.

  3. You guys just don’t understand the 4 dimensional chess Drury is playing. It will all become clear when we reacquire future good guy award winner Ty Emberson in 2031 for a protected first and a promising prospect who has lost favor with senior management because he said Drury has a big nose.

  4. Maybe pick 33… with the Rangers luck, that’ll turn into a better player than McKenna or whoever goes 1OA

  5. Patrik Nemeth wasn’t good before he came to the Rangers, he wasn’t good with the Rangers, and he hasn’t been good since he left the Rangers. This is why our GM needs to be let go.

  6. Nemeth sucked but here’s the reality around draft picks — since the lockout, after five years 1/3 of 2nd round picks have never played an NHL game, 1/3 had a cup of coffee (less than 50 games), 1/3 are regulars.

2nd round picks aren’t super valuable and those stats show you that every organization is ‘bad’ at drafting/development. I don’t actually believe that but it’s a common theme here

  7. And then gave up Emberson via waivers for nothing. He’s not a world beater but he is good enough to be a regular on the blue line of a team that reached the Final last season.

Chris Drury’s asset management record is simply abysmal.

  8. Drury always “fixing” the mistakes he himself has made. Dude is such a peanut brain
