MSL today: “You’re gonna break sticks, you’re gonna fall, you’re gonna take penalties. But the most important action is the next one. Hockey is a game of errors, we will make errors. But what’s the next action to fix this error…The problem isn’t important, it’s the solution. It’s limiting problems…”

His quotes are always so relevant to life beyond just hockey too. Dude is hella inspirational
I can’t wait to read his memoir someday. ❤
Meilleur coach ever! GHG!
He explains why he thinks the way that he does. It’s refreshing. Hockey really is moving past the old school nonsense.
>You’re gonna break sticks
Somewhere, Mike Matheson’s eyes just started glowing.
“The most important step a man can take. It’s not the first one, is it? It’s the next one. Always the next step”
I need MSL to raise my kids
“You’re gonna break sticks, your sticks will fall apart, you’re gonna take new sticks. But the most important stick is the next one. Hockey is a game of broken sticks, I will break sticks. But what’s the next action is to fix my stick…. The problem isn’t important, its the solution. It’s limiting the broken sticks…”

Take these quotes and put them in a fortune cookie.

“Sticks don’t fight back.”
What’s most important is how you make a new stick, from a tree, in the winter, with a dull knife and only the light of the moon glinting off the Stanley Cup to guide you
No! Perfection!!! Caufield must score a hat trick every game!
The most important step a man can take is the next one type shit
Saint-Louis has such a huge redemption arc in my heart. I was not happy when he was named head coach. I was judging him on his TV interviews (in french) as a player. He came off to me as someone pretty shallow, with, if I am being honest, not a great intellect. But since then I realized that he was really not comfortable in french and was keeping his answer to a minimum (using the usual overused hockey clichés) and also, that players are always super cautious in front of a microphones and are coached by the PR deep of the team to say the least thing possible. The guy is clearly super intelligent and very deep in his thinking. And a great coach. I was wrong coach Marty, you were not only a great choice, you were the best choice for our team.
Slap that shit on a T-shirt!
