[Clawson] The Seahawks have not allowed a play to gain more than 20 yards in over a month. They are the only team since 2000 to not allow a play of more than 20 yards in 3 straight games, including playoffs. This defense is terrifying.

That is a crazy stat. I love it.
We used to have a “bend don’t break” defense. Now it does neither.
Great stat, but those three games were versus the Panthers and the hospital-team 49ers.
I would love to see this stat continue against the Rams, but I really, really doubt it.
Pretty sure the Rams were the last ones to do it….
That’s a hell of a stat. The Rams will probably break this streak on Sunday, but by the same token, our defense is not going to give up 500+ yards and 37 points at home again.
Would love to know which team in 2000 accomplished this.
Now THIS is the kind of thing to be hyped about. Time to stop trying to name everything and just enjoy the greatness we have in the moment
Unfortunately, which is the last team to do it?
We gotta clamp Puka and continue the streak
Listen, Matt and Puka are **going** to make some big plays against us. They’re fucking freaks. I still have faith that our D will have a significantly better showing than last time, though.
Yep, and I heard on the radio yesterday some of those same clowns that said the Hawks would not win more than 7 games and finish last in the NFC West take LA in the NFC Championship Game. They are discounting the thrashing the Hawks gave to Whiners and being the first seed.
TBF, 2 of those 3 games are against the same team, so that might skew the results. Be nice to continue that into the next game or two against different opponents, though.
Honestly who gives a shit? Against the Rams we let Puka carve us up for over 200 yards all by himself and gave up a team record yards to the Rams. I really hate these random hand picked stats. This time we will have Puka and Davante to deal with.
Probably helps playing an injured overrated 49ers team twice in those last three games. Rams guaranteed get several plus 20 plays.
This doesn’t seem right. Puka had a large play across the middle in the last Rams game. I guess that may have been over a month ago now but there was also a bye.
I remember watching the 2014 team, you’d basically just expect any long pass to be intercepted, I looked forward to deep passes by opposing QBs.
It feels like this particular team is tried deep less, but also just forces bad throws that aren’t on target, so we’re not seeing as many picks, but certainly no long passes for gains. Truly special we get to witness this type of domination twice. Enjoy it.
Reminder the 9ers hadn’t punted in over a month and were averaging what 30+ a game before our matchups.
Part of me loves seeing posts like this but another part of me is like STOP YOURE GOING TO JINX IT. Especially because our next game is the against the Lambs of all teams.
Everyone likes to bring up that in the last Rams game we gave up like 450+ yards. But we also have to remember that our secondary was out 3/4 starters soooooooo
To be fair, two of those games are against a pathetic ass team with a joke of an offense.
Just as long as none of the commentators brag about stuff like this during the broadcast, thereby jynxing it, I am happy we can talk about these amazing stats.
nice stat until you realize who that other team was
That would be an impressive stat in college. It’s almost unfathomable for the NFL. I don’t care if it’s three straight games against the 0-16 Lions – not allowing a single explosive play is BONKERS in that span.
If we carry this level of defense into Sunday, LA better pack a lunch.
Very cool but man I always see these as jinxes! LOL
Tbf the last month has been the whiners twice, panthers, and bye
