Lakers trade target: nic claxton

  1. Rob Pelinka fucked this franchise. And no this is not an exaggeration. It’s been 4 years of the same TDL/FA discussions about trading picks for a big. If it wasn’t for the Luka deal I don’t even know where the team would be rn.

  2. Its been two years we’ve been targeting Nic Claxton but nothing has happened. I have 0 trust in Rob

  3. I’ve been seeing this Evan guy spreading rumors for years. Has he actually ever gotten anything right?

  4. Ayton/Hayes are fine in their role, we need to spend our assets on a 3&D WING not a big

  5. Lmao at all the idiots falling for the Nets using the lakers name as leverage.

If any team was offering a First for Claxton, he would’ve been traded long ago.

  6. As he should be. Claxton is perfect fit. He is a defensive center who can also guard the perimeter well and is a lob threat. He would be a long term starter for Luka and Austin. We can’t blindly go only for wings. The goal is to build a long term team and Claxton would be a part of that.

  7. If rob can pull of the 1 frp for Multiple, and then flip one for Claxton, I will shut my trap

  8. I’ve been asking for Claxton for a year now. He is a good long-term fit next to Luka.

Athletic, good defender and good hands.

Ayton is outplaying his current contract, but I just don’t see him being our solution. He struggles against physical bigs, and we’ll have to face a lot of those for the next 4-5 years…

  9. Everyone commenting seems to be an expert GM. Pelinka got us a chip, and now Walter’s group ain’t gonna slip.

LA ownership has championships in mind, Laker fans need no longer to #TrustTheProcess

    Unless it’s the Kings lmao

  10. Please someone tell me why they believe this man is worth a first round pick. 2 firsts sure but a first? He does not put up all star numbers even on a bad team. Has had health issues in the past and is older than Jax and other then assists doesn’t even put up drastically better numbers than him even with more minutes on a bad team.

  11. Just fyi, teams/player PR’s use the Lakers for trade leverage/generating clicks.

Lakers are not known for leaking trade details…

Not trying to be a jerk but did y’all just start following the Lakers? This has been happening since the beginning of Reddit with the Lakers…

  12. Ayton has better stats overall, but a typical dumb GM move that doesn’t move the needle while being overpaid.

  13. Maybe 2 years ago when they first cock teased us with this trade. This is the problem with Rob Pelinka. He will talk about targetting guys for years and when he finally pulls the trigger that player isn’t the same anymore.

  14. i’d rather get his backup Day’ron for cheaper and keep the pick so in the off-season they can have more tradable picks

  15. Thats the problem with Rob he loves cardio players lol. We have 4 players that can put up a consistent 0/0/0 statline. We talk a lot about the stars but for us to make a deep playoff run they have to swapped out with useful players. I don’t even care if they play defense at this point at least give us an extra scoring punch off the bench.

  16. Yeah, this report definitely says what eve try one in the sub already knows. Nothing knew here. Of course the team is shipping Knecht and expiring contracts to improve defense. Like, what is new here? How is this breaking news? I kinda assumed it was already happening that they were trying.

  17. I’ll take 2 wings that can defend and shoot relatively well instead of Claxton easily.

Our defense is shambolic. We won’t pass 1st round defending like we are now.

  18. I would love the opportunity to get Luka back with Lively or Gafford, Luka damn near made them look like all stars along side their great rim protecting.
