  1. Do Sisk and/or Montgomery have minor league options left? If so, another established, cheap lefty, like Justin Wilson et al., would be helpful.

  2. I still see a place for Cutch (DH against LHPs, O’Hearn at 1B and Horwitz to bench on those days, and situation usage to provide rest for others), but I’m getting the vibe every passing day makes it less likely. Am I reading the situation wrong?

  3. Looking back, I think Covid delaying the start of this regime and the drafting and/or development of top level prospects, like Skenes, Griffin, jones, Hernandez, were what gave GMBC this year still with the organization, and now the effectiveness of this spending increase (i.e. why their record is this season) will determine his extended future here. Is this a valid assessment, or is it just Nutting being Nutting?

  4. The following positions could be gaping holes unless they exceed expectations!
    Catcher
    3rd base
    SS
    Left field
    Center field

5 pretty large question marks for a team wanting to make the playoffs

  5. They have added 6 good players 2 Allstars Lowe Ohearn,Mangum Garcia,Montgomery,Soto I want them to bring back Jose Quintana SP very badly would be awesome.3rd base maybe Konnor Griffin SS could be superstar speed power defense arm and he seems like great young man if he makes team look out Triolo 3B would be fine

  6. Mangum LF with Garcia maybe 3B Triolo fine ss if Griffin makes not problem at all unbelievable talent catcher Bart ,Davis,Flores 2 out of 3 will be fine

  7. You are correct if you are adding 3B needs to be proven Major leaguers or just go Triolo hopefully Griffin makes it if needs little triple A let Nick Gonzales play

  8. Cruz and Reynolds really under perform much of the season and Cruz most of the season. That said 76 wins was over performing. Have they done enough to be serious contenders but they have done enough to consider winning more than they lose. IMO, with this current team with no more moves, Cruz and Davis are the keys. they get any where close to their potential then even if no more moves are made they're an 80+win team.

BC knows how to spend money and win short term. thats how he got to the series and turned a bad redsox team around. he made some big flops though.

Ohtani, Trout.. they're generational talent, Skenes in a couple years I think it might be fair to say that about him. Konnor… I wouldn't go there yet BUT he for sure is the best offensive talent that has been in the pirates system. The little i've watched his play, I can definitely see that he could be a real superstar.
