The teams with the best farm systems often become the best teams in the league soon after. For example, the Chicago Cubs had one of the best in the league prior to their World Series title in 2016.

  1. Bragdley Rodriguez and Hawkins should contribute this year. Mendez, Jagger Haynes, and Pena will get looks to fill spots after Opening Day. It’s not a truly dire situation, but most of our better prospects are 2-4 years out from contributing at the MLB level.

  2. Dead last…yikes. Though that is the result of using the farm as currency for trades (which it should be used for). I trust Preller will reload soon enough.

I mean realistically our window is right now and is closing quickly every season we don’t win as Manny and the pitching staff core is only getting older and the contracts are only gonna get worse as time goes on so it makes sense to just go for it while we can and worry about the rebuild later. It’s not ideal but it’s where we’re at currently
