I know its in the past now and we have bigger things to look forward to, but I have watched a lot of coverage of this game. People keep bringing up the endzone hold in overtime, but not this one which was an overthrow, but it wouldve made the FG a 60 yarder.
Also, yes I know there were a lot of missed calls in this game.

Bottom line is Bills fans had no justification for complaining about the officiating. Prater likely boots it through either way but we’ll never know.
No but who cares. Shits old news.
So by rule if the defender tries a “rip” move and ends up in that position then it’s not holding…that said there was a LOT of non calls throughout the game for both teams
It still would have been 3rd down and 20 they likely just get 8-10 yards back over the middle anyways and the FG is the same distance. But who cares, we won
Textbook rip – not a hold.
This was happening all game and happens every game to cooper and Bonitto. It’s ridiculous
It’s time to move on man, we have another game on Sunday
I feel like they generally were pretty lenient with holding all game. Not sure if the numbers back me up, but I only remember one being called all game.
I think Bills fans are just desperate for a shot to finally win it all. The team and city has been through a lot over the decades.
I know a lot of fans complained about a hold here because Cooper likely has a strip sack right here and we probably win in regulation but the pass was incomplete, it was 4th down. More than likely Payton declines the penalty and makes them kick it rather than 3rd down and giving the bills another shot at the end zone. I know accepting that penalty gives them a 60yard field goal attempt which in the mind of most kickers is probably more daunting than 50yards but Prater has kicked many a FG in mile high.
OL is still driving, it starts to become a hold when he gets outside the frame of his body. Ps we won who cares.
I used this example when Bills fans are complaining about Riley Moss’ dpi in the end zone a few plays later that wasn’t called. If Coop isnt held here, he has a strip sack, and if its called, then its 3rd and 20 and Prater has a longer field goal attempt.
Just throwing this out there, becuase this scenario intrigues me as a fan. What would Sean do if the holding is called? Does he take the penalty to give them another 3rd down play but a chance to stop them and make it a 60+ yarder or does he take the incompletion with the idea that its an “easier” kick for overtime
Spencer Brown (Bills RT) reaction to those penalties against the Bills’ defense on the final drive:
“You can’t blame the officials. That’s not what I try to do. But you’re letting the guys play all game long. I was holding the piss out of some people today and they didn’t call it. There was a third down right before we kicked the field goal — I was holding Cooper hard and they didn’t call that. They were letting the boys play, but that’s a well-coached team. They knew where we were at and where they were at on the field. I think those passes were not really thrown to be caught. I think they were thrown to go out there and make us make a mistake and get a little help from the zebras. I thought they called a good game for the whole time. Those things are going to happen.”
Screw a flag. Cooper would have taken the ball out of Allen’s hand with the hold.
In the playoffs the refs cool off quite a bit with calls that would get made 9/10 in the regular season. It makes the games better, but you know, there’s downsides…
Why the hell are we debating what is and isn’t a hold in a game that we won, where we’re bitching about Bills fans being whiney about refs lol
Bills lineman after the game was talking to reporters about the refs and he said to paraphrase
“The refs can’t be blamed. I was holding almost every play, they weren’t calling anything, just letting us play. The refs aren’t why we lost.”
